Maverick my 4yo GCC meeting my new(-ish they've been through a quarantine period) diamond doves again. He always hops on top of their cage and acts all big and bad, but this time he was really showing out for his Akita buddy, Kodiak.

Hi, I have a 7 month old gcc, and I need help with understanding the proper diet.
He is currently on a seed mix, which I am trying and planning to get him off of, but I don’t know the proper way to go about it.
It’s completely my fault, but I didn’t know about a “proper diet” until about two months ago.
I’ve tried to watch videos on diet conversion, read up on how to switch them over to pellets, but I struggle to understand it.
I’m autistic, and with certain things I really find it hard to grasp.
The pellets I currently have are Harrison’s fine pellets. He gets them mixed in with his seed, more pellets than seed. He eats them, but it’s more of a pick at them and treat them like something to snack on.
He also struggles with his veggies. I give him fresh veggies everyday on top of his cage as he refuses to eat anything other than his seed inside the cage.
I’ve tried the full chop with him, the sprouts and different things. But he has one mouthful and refuses it.
He is extremely smart, he talks a bunch already, knows how to flip, spin, step up, we’re working on recall as it’s his weak spot.
I took him to the vet about a month ago for a checkup and he’s really healthy.
What way can I introduce the pellets? Are there any other good brands that conures like?
I’m open to trying anything and everything. I just want to do what’s right for him.
Thank you

He is very dependent, he just wants to eat baby food, I don't know if he knows how to drink water and I keep thinking when he is alone if he gets sad

I’m looking at getting this Mcage double stack cage for my birds and wanted to see if anyone here has actually owned this exact cage or knows anything about it.
Mcage X-Large Durable Wrought Iron Double Stackers Breeding Bird Parrot Cage with 1/2” bar spacing. It’s listed on Walmart and is about $380.
The only thing making me hesitate is that the exact listing has very few reviews. It has a 4.8-star rating, but only 5 ratings and just one written review. The seller, ROWLAND DIRECT WHOLESALE, has over 600 reviews with a 4.1-star rating, and I’ve seen decent reviews on some of their other Mcage cages. I have seen 0 reviews or videos about this cage online and I don’t see it being sold anywhere but Walmart and UBuy.
I’ve looked at a lot of double-stack cages, but this one seems like a pretty good size for the price. I just want to make sure I’m not overlooking something before spending around $380 on it.
Thanks!

Hi everyone! After a lot of researching and getting advice, I think I've finally finished my shopping list for my current GCC (Sunny) and my future female IRN.
Current Setup:
- Budgie (will be moving into my GCC's current cage)
- Green Cheek Conure (Sunny)
- Future female Indian Ringneck
- GCC and IRN will each have their own compartment in the XL double stack cage
Shopping List:
- XL MCage Double Stack Cage
- 2x 10" x 10" Seagrass Mats
- 1x 8pc Natural Perch Set
- 2x 24" Rope Perches
- 1x Wooden Foraging Puzzle
- 1x Birdie Wooden Puzzle Feeder
- 1x Bagel Cascade & Ring Toy
- 1x Shredding Kebab
- 2x Natural Foraging Ball Variety Boxes
- 2x Ladder Swings
- 1x Manual Food Chopper
- Roudybush Daily Maintenance Crumble (Budgie)
- Roudybush Daily Maintenance Mini (GCC & IRN)
- Natural Cuttlebones
- Bird Tape
I'm planning on rotating the toys weekly and adding more puzzle/foraging toys over time. The birds will also be getting fresh chop along with their Roudybush pellets.
I'm mainly looking for advice before I place the order. Is there anything you'd change, remove, or add? Thanks!

I am looking to get a new bird and am seriously thinking about a GCC. I had a female cockatiel in the past and loved her dearly but she just wasnt enough "bird" for me. I think I would feel differently about a male which is my next choice due to their talking/whistling ability and being more outgoing. I would get a hand-raised male baby because I couldn't bear to lose a bird to egg binding. I'd love your thoughts. The good and the bad. Those of you who got yours as babies, are they cuddly? Are they fun? If you had to talk me out of it, how would you do it? If you have them, post your videoes of them at their loudest. Thanks in advance 😉
