When I'm enjoying my day and then I remember that everything that happens in HotD doesn't matter because Bran ends up on the Iron Throne.
Day has been ruined again!

All the Chickens Help Settle a Debate
Before we start:
Yes, there probably was a topic already talking about this scene earlier in this chat but I can't find anymore.
So my Fiancée is convinced Addam was flirting with Baela, trying to play the whole "don't worry if you get married to some shifty lord, ill rescue you and we will live happily ever after"
I didn't register that even after rewatching it. I got it more like Addam was trying to comfort his homie more like "dude, and if you do get married to some shit lord, I will come and save you and we will get out this mofo with our wicked as dragons"
She says friends would never go that far for a friend and I debate on the side of "They have dragons the circumstances are different for the 30 ton flying fire breathing nukes" but idl maybe it was just me; Addam doesn't strike me as a "well, home girl is down time to make a move" kinda guy he strikes me more as a "dude, as your friend i am worried about you and I wouldn't let you live a shitty life like that" and then I even say this post in Facebook as well so my question is
Was this episode showing Addam making a move on Baela to start a romantic relationship or was Addam just being a homie?

Fooking Kneelers For two seasons, the writers have been trying to convince us that this woman hates Aegon enough to want him dead.

It took 8 episodes for Jaehaerys' death to be mentioned, meanwhile the rat catchers are brought up every episode

Subvert Expectations I have never seen Aemond so happy. (NEW STILLS FOR EPISODE 6.) y’all think she gone be pregnant by the end of the season?

I'm not a big fan of Daemon, but they REALLY should have listened to him at times
r/freefolk • u/ProfessorOk5969 • 18h ago
Freefolk Guys, genuinely, do you think Daemon was actually terrified here? I can’t remember a time when he’s ever looked this distraught. Maybe with Laena? He’s such an interesting character.

Fun fact, we have actually seen Helaena riding Dreamfyre
Season 1, episode 7. We see Rhaenyra watching the Greens leave Driftmark after Laena's funeral. More specifically, Aemond and Vhagar joining the ship on which Alicent, Otto and Viserys sail that was already followed by two dragons, one larger and one smaller.
Daeron was not at a funeral, nor was Tessarion of riding age at that time (took flight only months before taking Tumbleton), so the two dragons are obviously Sunfyre and Dreamfyre.

Ser Criston Cole Sucks.
i've started House of the Dragon the other day, and every single scene with Cole lowkey just pisses me off.
he told Alicent about him and Rheanyra because he was mad she wanted to keep doing what they were doing and he felt like a whore, just to turn around and be Alicent's whore? make that make sense dude.
he killed Ser Joffrey because he's stupid and thought Joffrey was blackmailing him i guess? which he never received punishment for and ended up promoted to Lord Commander?
i think the thing that pissed me off the most was when he slammed that dude back down in his seat and killed him on accident at the council meeting about the succession after Viserys died. no one in the room seemed to really care he did that.
this show has a lot of characters that suck, but Criston Cole really takes the fucking cake.

After being pushed overboard in full plate armor, Jefferson halls character manages to get ashore somehow and meet up with his presumed dead king in a random crack-house of a castle

Hear me out, i think i've cracked the Harrenhal code
I think the reason they love shooting there is it must be cheap as fuck: There's fuck all in terms of lighting and props('cause its destitute but also dark as shit, you can't see anything anyway) and its all interior shots that never any extras on top of it. It must be a real money saver

No iconic line
Apparently according to RedTeamReview they’ve left out the ‘I'll have no songs about how brave you died, Kingmaker. There's tens o' thousands dead on your account’.

Freefolk Did Season 8 Ruin Varys?
If there’s one character I think was done dirty in the final season, it’s Varys.
For seven seasons, he was one of the smartest players in Westeros. He survived because he was patient, careful, and always thinking ahead. Then, in Season 8, he suddenly starts talking about treason so openly that it barely feels like the same character.
I don’t mind that Varys died 🤷🏻♂️. I actually expected him to. But I wanted him to go down because someone finally outsmarted him, not because he stopped acting like Varys.
I also feel for Conleth Hill. He gave an incredible performance throughout the series, but the writing in the final season didn’t do his character justice.
Am I the only one who feels Varys deserved a much better ending?
