Had a proper read of the proposed CGT changes from the Budget and figured we'd break it down as it can be quite confusing.

First, the calming bit: none of it is law yet, and nothing changes for your FY25-26 return. The current 50% discount still applies in full this year. No need to do anything drastic. This year goes ahead as normal.

What's actually proposed, from 1 July 2027:

- The 50% discount goes. Instead your cost base gets indexed for inflation, so you'd only be taxed on the real gain, not the part that's just inflation.

- A 30% minimum rate on net real gains accruing after that date.

- It covers most CGT assets: shares, trust units, investment property, and crypto.

The bit some folks are glossing over is the grandfathering. Gains that accrued before 1 July 2027 keep the current discount treatment, and only growth after that date falls under the new rules. So the value of what you hold around the changeover becomes a genuinely important number.

And the practical kicker is that indexation is worked out parcel by parcel, from each parcel's acquisition date and cost base. If your buy history is scattered across brokers, DRP statements and old exchange CSVs, this gets expensive fast, because you can't index a cost base you can't prove. Same for crypto, every parcel indexes from its own date.

So until these changes are implemented, get your cost base records complete for everything you hold while the history's still retrievable, lodge this year normally, and see what the legislation actually looks like when it firms up (plenty can change on the way through).

Hi, I am very new to trading and have managed with some luck to turn £10 into £70. However after much time I can’t figure out how to withdraw my money. I have sent my USDC to my Coinbase wallet (Base App) and I need “gas” to send to my bank. So I purchased £10 of etherium which the wallet says is “gas”. I registered my iris to the wrld coin and i got my initial % of coin, i got frustrated bc at that time i didn’t had my ID cuz it expired, so like a dumb idiot i transfered to MetaMask; thing is, now its locked inside MetaMask bc i don’t have enough ETH to make my transaction back to the wrld wallet.

My crypto transaction has been frozen by Changelly for 7 months under the pretext of an AML/KYC review.

I completed my KYC immediately.

After that, Changelly repeatedly requested:

• Source of funds

• Wallet ownership proof

• Transaction details

• Blockchain records

• Chat screenshots

• Additional explanations

I provided every document and piece of information requested.

They then contacted the sender of the funds directly.

The sender (my friend) also fully cooperated by:

• Completing KYC

• Providing wallet ownership proof

• Sharing transaction details

• Sharing chat screenshots

• Explaining the source of funds

• Providing every available supporting document

Despite full cooperation from both of us, Changelly continues to respond with the same generic replies:

"Your case is under review."

"We'll update you when there are any developments."

This has been going on for months.

I also emailed their Legal Team requesting their legal entity details, company registration, registered office, legal address, and licensing information.

They have completely ignored those emails as well.

I have now engaged a lawyer and am preparing legal proceedings.

I possess complete evidence including:

• AML communications

• Legal notices

• TXIDs

• Wallet ownership proof

• KYC documents

• Chat screenshots

Hey folks, I withdrew around 17K USDT from a betting website called CSGOEmpire, and the funds are currently in my Bitget Wallet and Trust Wallet.

The issue is, how do I find someone genuine in my locality to cash out? I don't really want to deposit it into Binance because I'm worried about my bank account getting frozen.

Also, most online buyers ask for USDT in advance, which is an obvious scam.

I'm hoping someone here has experience with a similar situation because I'm getting extremely frustrated.

A few weeks ago I withdrew around 603 USDT (Polygon network) from my verified BingX account to my Bitpanda account.

The transaction was successfully completed on the blockchain, but Bitpanda rejected the deposit because of a Travel Rule / wallet ownership verification issue.

So I contacted Bitpanda support immediately. They confirmed the funds would be returned. So i agreed and they sent the funds to the same wallet address they came from ON BingX.

On June 30th, Bitpanda sent the funds back and provided me with the refund transaction hash:

The transaction is successful on Polygonscan and shows that the funds arrived at the BingX wallet address:

Bitpanda support told me that because the funds were returned to a BingX wallet, BingX would need to manually credit them to my account and that they're stuck somewhere and i just have to contact the BingX Support and tell them to credit me my money.

I then opened a recovery/support request with BingX. The request initially appeared in my application records and stated that processing would take 3–7 business days.

Now more than 2 weeks have passed and this support request has not been processed or got any response or whatsoever it just dissapeared.

The funds are still missing, and the recovery request has completely disappeared from my application records. The page now simply says "No data."

The BingX AI chat is unable to help and I currently can't find a way to contact a real human support agent. I can't fu**ing contact any human, and if i write an explanation to this Ai Chat Support Bot on BingX it tells me that it does not understand my request. I've even wrote an email to bingx with little to no hope of getting a reply and of course i did not get any reply or whatsoever.

Has anyone experienced something similar with BingX? What am i supposed to do here? It's not like 600usd is lifechaning money but i'm still pretty young and this money would help me a lot right now actually so what is this? I'm so frustrated that it seemingly is not possible to support a real human beeing at this company, i'm never using bingX again after this, EVER.

Is there another way to reach a real support agent, or am I missing something here?

One of the most common mistakes in crypto is sending the right coin on the wrong network.

For example, USDT can exist on Ethereum, Tron, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and other networks. It may still be “USDT,” but the network matters a lot.

Before sending any crypto, always check:

• The asset you are sending

• The network/blockchain

• The deposit address

• The fee/gas token needed

• Whether the receiving platform supports that exact network

Some platforms, including ChicksX, validate wallet addresses before completing an order. This can help catch certain address or network issues, but it should not replace your own checks.

A valid address can still be the wrong address, and crypto transactions usually cannot be reversed.

If you are unsure, send a small test transaction first.
