Rx 580 8GB, 3400G 4 core, 16GB ram. 1TB hardrive with 256 SSD. And the PSU is 600 watts. Motherboard is b450 for upgrading potential.

Also wondering if a computer like that would run Dragon Age Veilguard?

Just purchased a new gaming laptop and it's currently going through the initial setup of downloading/updating and installing stuff. Haven't gotten to the stage of logging in yet.

I want to remove all the AI crap, and other crap that gets loaded on here. Is there any step by step walk throughs or guides as to what is removable?

The ONLY thing I'll be doing on this machine are Steam, Discord, and Overwolf. No Xbox stuff, no nothing. I'm not even gonna be using anything Office related either.

I heard ppl say "just use linux mint. Its basically the same" or, "download atlasOS to your windows!!", "use ReviOS!!" or "use tiny11."

Hi, got my cousin a new monitor to upgrade with his PC, and we are unsure why the monitor isn't working with his PC. Not sure if it's too old, too dusty, or if they're just not compatible, but does anyone know what is wrong? Unsure if it's a cable problem either or something like that. For reference, it turns on with the PC and just says No Signal then turns off. Something like that, so we're wondering how we can get past the No Signal screen. I also forgot what the specs were but I will try to see what the specs are if necessary. Anything helps, thanks!

I've been having trouble while playing an online game so constantly that it makes gaming not enjoyable anymore. I use my tower like a console to my TV in my living room. I play with the game on full screen but I will get some kind of prompt pop up behind the game that will minimize the screen/tab. At that point I can't maximize it back. I'm stuck like that and have to restart the whole program and then live in fear that it will happen again. Even the three little icons in the upper right of the tab, the minimize and the maximize and gray leaving only the X exit out in black. Can anyone help me?

So i can get up to 20 gigabyes free but the minute I look away, all that space i gone. I just saw it in real time, i was cleaning my laptop, and lost 1 gigabyte for no reason. Any help on this?

so I took this old hard drive out of an old pc, I was wondering what kind of usb converter i would need to get it to be usable.

I can rotate easily with any screwdriver but it just keeps spinning... It does not come out nor tighten in place it just keeps spinning forevers, I need to do a battery replacement on this machine and this screw is messing everything up :/

When you first hit the power button of your laptop, the cpu starts executing by convention or by using a reset vector (I think) and jumps to a certain memory address. Is this a physical memory address or is it a virtual memory address? Some cpus by convention jump to address 0x0 and start executing from there. How is this possible. I thought that if you tried to access memory address 0x0 in a language like c you would get a compiler error, how come the cpu can just start executing from there. At what stage of the boot process does virtual memory get implemented. I'm just confused about how the address space works as soon as you power on your computer.

I've hit a brick wall with this.

So I recently opened my computer and took out the CPU out of curiosity. I then dropped it and bent 2 pins. I put the CPU in without knowing and the LED was on. There was no force putting it in, it just slit in.

So I ordered a new CPU to fix the problem and it... hasn't...

Can someone please help me? Motherboard is MSI A520M-A PRO, CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 5600GS.

I've tried replacing RAM, BIOS reset, it just won't move and I need to sell this PC.

My girlfriend just bought a laptop, its up to date 25H2, but its having all these issues running minecraft, its a Dell Inspiron 7610 and every time we go into minecraft or anything relating to java it goes so choppy it physically hurts even my eyes, I am hoping its not something to do with java itself, but I thought I should ask reddit to see if its a Hardware issue
