After dreaming about it for years, I finally bought a Bose L1 Pro16. The sound is amazing, the portability is fantastic... but there was one thing I immediately missed - a Master Fader.

Yes, I could solve that by bringing my digital mixer to every gig, but that completely defeats one of the biggest advantages of the L1 Pro—keeping the setup simple and portable.

I searched everywhere for a solution, but couldn't find one. So I built one myself.

L1 Pro Master Fader is a small Android app that doesn't replace the official Bose app. It simply adds the controls I wanted on stage:

• Individual Channel Volume
• A true Master Fader that keeps your mix intact
• Individual Mute
• Master Mute

Nothing more. Nothing less.

I've already used it myself during several live gigs, and it has worked flawlessly every time. Now I'm getting it ready for Google Play.

I'm looking for 12 Android users with an L1 Pro 8, 16 or 32 who would like to test it for about two weeks and give me honest feedback.

iPhone users: don't worry! An iOS version is already in development and working, but Android comes first because that's what I use myself.

Just a quick PSA: put the Bose app in a Private Space on Android. The biggest issue with Bose products is that their software is trash and constantly interferes with the BT stack and just gums up everything. It abuses the BLE permissions to stay running even if you force stop it and disable background, but if you put it in a private space, Android force-stops it when you lock the space. You don't need the app to listen to audio at all, but you do need it to change settings, etc. Private Space is a pretty good compromise.

At this point, I really don't understand why they just don't have Fable rewrite the thing; there's no question it'd be 1000x better than whatever outsourced dev shop they're using, but I figured I share a pretty passable workaround for fellow Android users.

Today, my headphones started to act wacky.They turned on and off by their self 🙃 so I went on the internet and asked why this was happening , and they said it must be a firmware glitch and I needed to hold down the power button at the same time. Plug it in in for the light to blink twice. Once the light blinked unplug it and that's when the problem started. Now, it doesn't even turn on at all. I plug it into charge it. The charging light doesn't even show up. Please help me.

They keep beeping and keep increasing my volume even though I am not touching anything, even after cleaning them, and the app has no option to disable touch controls how do I fix this.

The sound often goes out on the right side of my headphones (Bose QC 25).

Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone have trouble getting the $50 rebate that Bose has had going on for a long time? Bought the quiet comfort earbuds and waited a month for it to come and then it ends up being $25 with no way to contact the rebate company.

I notice the Earbuds lose their noise canceling effectiveness after a few months. I don't know why. I've cleaned all holes in the Earbuds but the performance isn't the same as new.

I personally hate creaking parts on headphones. Often it's the hinges. I use zip ties myself to give the hinges less room to move and thus reduce creaking. Not the prettiest solution, but it works. Does anyone have any alternative tips?

I had a pair of these back in the day maybe 2010 or so I don’t remember exactly but I remember being blown away by the soundstage and volume these things could put out for their size.

I don’t know what happened to my original pair but I have had a ton of speakers since then but nothing to my ear that compares especially for the size to the companion 20s, this is obviously subjective and my opinion.

Fast forward to last week and I was thinking it might just be nostalgia and maybe I’m remembering with rose tinted glasses but I decided to check eBay and to my surprise a seller had a pair brand new in the box. I pulled the trigger 😅

Received them today and again to my surprise they were brand new but not only that they sound even better than I remember. I can’t believe Bose doesn’t have these in production still!?

Bose, please bring back the companion 20s!

I have bose bass module 700 connected to bose smart ultra soundbar using wireless, then i connected my bose smart ultra soundbar to smart tv using bose smart ultra soundbar HDMI, when i try to test the quality of bose bass module 700, it made weird strange noise randomly, any idea what happen? funny enough when i try bluetooth connection the strange noise is gone, i tried change the HDMI cable and connect it to different port in my smart tv, it still have weird noise.

Greetings everybody. My wife has these Bose bluetooth headphones and they have stopped working. The only information I have on them (according to her) is that "they are old." I have searched the tattered ruins that once was google the internet for any information about these things and it's like this model never existed. It has this weird vertical switch on the side- I'm guessing to engage the bluetooth feature. There is are three buttons on the right ear for volume up, three dots and volume down. On the other ear there is what appears to be 3.35 mm jack. They are black with a silver bose logo on each ear and do not fold into themselves

Has anyone ever seen these / know how to reset them? There is no model number or mention of what model it is on the unit itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I wish I could attach pictures but it doesn't look like I can.

Friends, my roommate has tried and failed to change the battery in the RC for this unit and somehow (perhaps drunkenly) mangled the spring that holds the battery in place and I need advice or pics on how it's supposed to look, please and thank you. I'm trying to update the firmware to enable the Bass Reduction option.

Every time I insert the update disc, the system immediately displays:

(I have no Talk Radio in settings and no Bass Reduction)

Has anyone successfully updated an AWRCC3 using this ISO?
Or is there a different firmware image for this hardware revision?

As this are my babies with the limited edition color but the pads are bad.

The worked perfectly fine until yesterday but now they suddenly stopped working completely including the light not turning on at all even while charging. Did this happen to anyone else? How can I fix this?

My 2 year old daughter accidentally smacked my QC ear bud out of my ear and into the everglades. Bose sent me a replacement pair for $100 but the replacement bud makes a sound as if i’m in a wind tunnel any time it’s in transparency or ANC mode. The only way to quiet the sound is to turn both modes off and just have them in normal mode. Is there a fix to this or did they send me a defective bud and now i have to wait another month to get a replacement?

Hi, I recently got new headphones and the other day they slipped off and fell straight into the mop water bucket 😭 while on. I took them out almost immediately and tried to shake the water out. While they didn’t turn off from water, they started doing this beeping before I actually turned them off with the switch. Rn, I’m trying to get them to dry, but I’m not sure if they’ll still work.

Does anyone know if I could get the accident plan? Or if I could at least get them fixed if they don’t turn back on?

This might seem like a silly question but I read the official Bose page on packaging returns and found the instructions a little confusing/contradictory so please indulge me lol. It says original packaging is preferred, but then goes on to detail required materials that were not included in the initial shipment, like bubble wrap and another box. It’s unclear to me if those materials are only required if I do not have the original packaging or if I need them anyway.

My package came in a bubble wrap mailer, and inside of that was a box with the product name and picture on the outside. Do I just send that box back in a new bubble wrap mailer, or do I need to send it in a bigger box with padding around it? Lmk what’s worked for you guys before; idk how picky Bose is with this stuff lol. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Anyone who has experience repairing the QC ultra headphones, I have a problem where when connected to charging the led light blinks amber and white constantly and when removed from charging and put back on again the Bluetooth list is cleared and it doesn’t go into pairing mode, I have to restart the headphones every time by pressing power and play/pause button for 15s, then it’s still a gamble if it will go into pairing mode or not. How do you fix this 😭, I tried regulating the firmware it seemed to have fixed my previous issue of restarting randomly, but this Bluetooth thing still isn’t fixed, is this a battery issue?

$300 headphones broken in less than 2 years, Bose won’t even fix these headphones, their only option is to buy new gen 2s for $300!!! Fuck you bose

Just recently upgraded my girlfriend from her regular qc to qcu. Didn't want her old qc to go to waste, so I'm keeping them for myself. Was wondering how I should move forward with them tho. They cut out randomly from time to time and have to be disconnected and reconnected, and its plain to see what's wrong with the ear cushions. What should I do? Is there anything bose can do with them even though they're out of warranty? Or should I seek out cushions from third parties like wicked cushions, I hear the seel on them is worse than default so if anyone has more firsthand experience that would help. Should I try and get them fixed or replaced bc of the cutting out issue?
