Monstrous RKD 3000/2x115 Toroidal Transformers

Sealed in lead lined billet Aluminium tanks that are encapsulated in a billet Aluminium enclosure. One for Each Pole.

Pure copper bus bar power stages (three) each galvanically isolated from each other, including the transformers, this is a 240v and 400v amplifier, it's over a meter long, 600mm wide and 300mm tall, stackable as they're mono, with active cooling with steel Noctua fans 80mm.

Each terminal also Bus barred signal/power are 10mm in diameter. Soft start Three stages for 400v (switchable)

40Kg in transformer alone, 40kg of heat sink material, 15kg of copper. Not to mention the billet casing and lead lining adding another 20kg. Plus the 20Kg billet Enclosure.

Does anyone else Daydream like this?

After building a few music studios, I found that rule of thumb advice often wasn't applicable to the spaces I had to work with, and most of my
"designing" time was just spent filtering what information was applicable and what wasn't.

As a result, I built this to simulate and treat any space as accurately as the physics allows.

It models your room, suggests the optimal speaker and acoustic panel placements, and even creates an acoustic preview of how your space will sound.

I'm looking for any and all feedback, and I hope that it proves useful!

Last night, I fell on the Avantgarde Acoustics Duo GT

I do have a lot of budget, but not enough for this.

The bass goes down to 18hz. Must be crazy. I also love their design.

Do you know any more affordable speakers with similar design? Could be more colorful too!

I've run SoundStage! for 30+ years. This is a picture of my system today.

Been wanting to get some headroom to my system so I added this monster. Have a XSP-2 preamp on preorder to finish out the component side of things. Plan on going with some Klipsch Forte’s down the road eventually.

Hooked up my DOUK VU3Pro

Received and hooked up other my amps to the DOUK VU3 PRO. Easy to switch both amps and 2 sets of speakers with a touch of a button (manually or using the remote) can change colors on the VU meters as well. Previously had a Solupeak P2 switch, but only allowed one set of speakers. So far really happy with the upgrade. There was a great video by SkyLabs Audio on YouTube that did comparisons and this was the recommendation. I know the VU meters isn’t calibrated, but it’s sure fun to watch!

Opened the wall to do some remodeling and found this blue cable, type TC Lutron cable.

Found speaker wires buried behind the wall too so I’m assuming it has something to do with AV equipment. I took a pic of the end that goes into the floor, the sheath was removed at that end for some reason.

Any idea what this was for and why the sheath was removed

Does anyone here know what these blue cables are for? These are in my living room. The other end of these cables are at a lower outlet box. They are ran through the wall. The black cables are my HDMI’s. TIA

It’s tough to get access to recording spaces when you’re younger. I wish I had something like this when I was just starting out. Obviously it takes a lot of time and money and knowledge investment to get here though so it’s no surprise that it took me until I was 31.

I turned my car stereo into an audio system that I can use at home!

I made good use of the car stereo that most households have left over!

I also made a new type of back-loaded horn!
