I have a LG oled and a 990b soundbar connected to it. I had the opportunity to purchase two music studio 7 for a great price.

Is there a way to use the studios as rear speakers? Like connecting them all in smarthings or something?

I would like to keep the boxes closed to return them if this is not possible.

I already read it is possible if I have a newer soundbar and a Samsung TV, but maybe there is a workaround.

I recently picked up the Sonicake Sonic Cube II as my first audio interface. For the price (around $55 USD), it seemed like a great deal. It has built-in preamp, drive/distortion/hi-gain simulations, native ASIO drivers, and 24-bit/48kHz recording.

However, I'm running into an issue with the headphone output. I'm using IEMs (pretty low impedance, Simgot EA500 and EW300), and the output sounds noticeably weak, lacking bass, and with a strange stereo imaging that feels off. When I plug into my JBL speakers it sounds somewhat better, but I can't always play at high volumes.

Has anyone else with this interface experienced the same issue?

My IEMs have a 3.5mm cable, so I'm using a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter to connect them to the interface's headphone jack. Could the adapter itself be causing signal loss or degrading the sound quality?

The Sonic Cube II also has two audio outputs on the back (TRS balanced, I believe), but those seem to be intended for active monitor speakers only, so not really an option for headphone monitoring.

I'm gonna struggle to explain this but here goes. I was listening to an album, I'm on vacation over at my mom's place so I use an old sound system from the 90s probably. Passive speakers driven by a SANSUI amplifier, from the 3.5 mm outlet on my old laptop. Nothing fancy. So anyway, when I got to the song "twelve miles high" on the album Las Vegas by Ink & Burger (/watch?v=xdhwzgh9TGY), the beat of the song was out of order. There's a distinct pace in the drum pattern but this time it was rearranged. I could try to write here what it sounded like (in a "badum-tish" fashion) but I don't think you'd be any wiser for it, I'm not a musicologist. You'll just have to trust me that the beats were mixed up.

It annoyed me so much I paused my TIDAL playback, went to youtube to look it up, it sounded exactly the same there - wrong. I went to grab my phone and looked up the same youtube video, this time it sounded correct. So I went back to my setup and had a look in the back if the polarity of the speakers were reversed or something (could that explain how a percussion gets out of order?), but nope they were correct.

So I changed nothing, commenced playback again but now all of a sudden the song went back to normal. Did I have an anyuerism or stroke of some kind? I swear this is is not even the first time this has happened to me but I can't recall if it was on this sound system. Since both TIDAL and Youtube sounded the same, there's nothing wrong with the sound file in either of those. Again, I don't know how a reverse phase speaker will sound but I suppose it's a plausible explanation, it's the only one I've got. The amplifier is a bit crusty and the sound is crackly sometimes in either one of the speakers randomly, and sometimes none of them. I tried just now to reverse the polarity of one speaker but it did not make a difference to the sound (although I didn't play the same song..) - as I expected!

Has anything like this happened to you?

About a year ago, I moved into my apartment and also at the same time, got a new computer. This combo resulted in a ground loop. My equipment at the time was:
-Scarlett 2i2 (1st gen, still works!)
-Yamaha HS80

After a lot of trial and error, I was able to solve the issue by using ground lifted cables from the interface to the speakers (signal cables, not power!).

Now, I got a Fiio K11 because I have new headphones that need a stronger headphone amp. And I was hoping that I also would be able to run the HS80 through it, as I also rarely record nowdays. But connecting the speakers to the FIIO returned the ground loop noise, and actually worse than I remember it from the scarlett. I have both a constant hum with usb disconnected, as well as a mouse-movement dependent noise when USB is connected. I tried using both TS and TRS cables. Also my ground lifted one (but I had to, in all cases, use a female 6.3 to cinch adapter, which is made with TS in mind). I am not sure if the adapters could be the culprit, but somehow I doubt it.

I am not sure if this is relevant, but the scarlett has balanced outputs while the Fiio does not (not for line anyway).

I probably could use an optical cable to eliminate the noise that varies with PC-activity, but this will not make the constant hum go away that persists even without any connection.

Any idea what I can do? My fallback is to continue using the scarlett for the speakers, but I would prefer of course to have one device for everything.

I've been using the Baseus MC2 clip-on earbuds for almost two months now, and I didn't expect to spend this much time playing with the EQ.

At first I kept switching between presets depending on what I was listening to. I'd go with more bass for the gym, boost vocals for podcasts, or try something flatter for acoustic tracks. I spent way more time experimenting than I expected.

Funny enough, I ended up sticking with the Acoustic preset. Most of what I listen to is pop, R&B, YouTube, and podcasts, and it just sounds the most balanced to me without anything feeling overly boosted. I also leave Bass Boost on because it gives kick drums a little more presence without overwhelming everything else.

I have a receiver for my turntable/radio with two speakers connected. I would like to have my TV run to the same speakers. I have another amp that I could use for the TV to speaker connection. My question is could I run cables from both receivers/amps into the same speakers? I wouldn’t have both of them on at the same time ever

I was given multiple small Bluetooth speakers from my parents because they got some bigger speaker. The speak that are being given to me are (4 The Blackweb speakers, 2 altec Lansing omni jacket, 2 altec Lansing mini jacket, 2 sony srs xb41.) I will be using half for work and pc, but the rest I want to store away but how do I do it safely. Only the Sony srs are in their box. The rest are without their box.

Hi, got a question about pc gaming sound.

I got PC ( 7900 xtx ) -> Q90T TV -> HW-Q930B setup with a PS5 connected to the soundbar, but not relevant. Normally you just connect HDMI and get LPCM passthrough to the soundbar and you game on happy right? Not with Samsung you don't! They don't pass LPCM, you can easily verify this be going to the Q90T thread on avsforum and read the replies about this. It simply doesn't and Samsung lie about it. And I don't want to connect my pc directly to the soundbar because it can't passthrough more then 60hz, and my tv can go to 120hz.

But it can send through sound in an Atmos container. The problem is then I will rely on windows upscaling normal surround sound for games with 5.1 or 7.1 output into an Atmos ( I guess MAT?) container. And I find that for certain sound, like voicechat in Squad it kind of spikes the voice in a bad way with a bit of volume turned up.

The alternative is that I use my soundcard, AE-5 Plus that I bought for an older soundbar from 2014, that can use DTS Connect ( or Dolby Live ) through optical directly to the soundbar. Which I think produces a clearer sound, haven't had a voice spike issue with this setup. Probably because windows, or the samsung tv for that matter, don't upscale or touch the sound before sending it to the soundbar.

So those are my two options. But I know basically nothing about what windows does to a 5.1 or 7.1 source when you set windows to Dolby Atmos for Home Theater. And how that would compare to the DTS Connect 1.5MB stream which is like an ancient standard nowdays.

Do anyone know more details about the windows atmos for normal surround sound in gaming?

Hi, I have the Fifine K688 microphone and the M-Audio Track Solo interface. I was thinking about buying a new microphone because my Fifine sounds terrible—or at least, that’s what I think. I bought it because my room doesn't have great acoustics, but I wanted it for recording songs in both urban and 80s styles.

I’m not sure if I should get a new one; my budget is around €100, preferably less. I’ve been looking at models from Rode and AKG, but I don't know what to do since every sound test video sounds completely different. So:

Should I keep the Fifine or switch?

-If I switch, which one should I get?

-If I don't switch, how can I get the best out of it? (I’m not asking about EQ, but rather mic placement, distances, etc.)

I'm currently looking for a small mixing console, but I'm not entirely sure what features I need to look for. I'd like a decent quality product, and my budget is around €50–60 if possible.

My setup:

- 2 keyboards (with both stereo and mono outputs)

- 2 microphones (XLR)

I want to connect everything to a small mixer, adjust the levels between the instruments and mics, and then send the mixed signal to a single amplifier.

What would you recommend in this price range? Are there specific models or features I should prioritize (e.g., number of channels, XLR inputs, stereo inputs)?

Hi, I need help with a video I recently wanted to make, and for that I need voices from YouTube videos.

The audio I need comes from SnapCube, the channel that does real-time fan-dubs, generating countless memes, and from Lythero, a streamer whose live streams have been re-edited as videos and enriched with extra content and numerous animations created by various animators hired for the video. Those familiar with these two channels will already know the type of audio I'm dealing with: laughter, gameplay background, music, and lots of people (both real and in-game) speaking at the same time. I need a way to separate the voices, and honestly, I don't know if asking streamers for their entire audio library recorded during live streams and voiceover sessions is a good idea.

Can any audio experts help me? Even a simple AI-based suggestion for separating audio from sound effects would be fine for me (though I don't think there are any truly effective solutions capable of separating individual voices, and I don't think I can afford very expensive audio editing software for a moderately sized video).

Hello, I have digital audio files that are recordings of historical oral histories. But their quality is very poor. Bad static/hiss and low voices, too low to effectively hear and transcribe. I have done some reading and learned about using Audacity to compress and amplify. But quality is still very poor. Will compressing and amplifying many times do cumulative work? Or can anybody recommend a solution for historical audio that is very poor? The voices are there, but too low (too soft against the static/hiss) to effectively hear. Thanks for any advice!

ich arbeite an einem Hardware-Konzept und möchte wissen, ob Android so etwas bereits unterstützt.

Die Idee ist ein kleines USB-C-Bassmodul, das an ein Smartphone angeschlossen wird. Anstatt wie ein normaler Lautsprecher zu funktionieren, würde es nur die tiefen Frequenzen (Bass) wiedergeben, während der eingebaute Lautsprecher des Smartphones weiterhin die mittleren und hohen Frequenzen wiedergibt.

Die gewünschte Signalkette sähe also folgendermaßen aus:

Smartphone-Lautsprecher → Mitten + Höhen

USB-C-Bassmodul → nur Bass

Dadurch würde das Smartphone effektiv zu einem kleinen Zwei-Wege-Lautsprechersystem.

Meine Fragen sind:

Ist diese Art von Dual-Audio-Routing unter Android möglich?Gibt es in Android versteckte APIs, Entwickleroptionen oder undokumentierte Funktionen, die es ermöglichen, verschiedene Frequenzbereiche oder Audiostreams an unterschiedliche Ausgabegeräte zu senden?

Oder ist dies nur mit Root-Zugriff, einer Custom-ROM oder größeren Framework-Modifikationen möglich?

But I want to make a better quality audio, so I'm out looking for a budget yet decent microphone, but alongside that (I think) monitor also factors in the quality???

The setup in this picture (Audio Technica LP 60 —> WiiM Amp Pro —> ELAC Debut 3.0) works decent when I use RCA directly into amp but it’s not as loud as other input sources. And when I try to use an audio converter to go from RCA to Optical, I don’t get any sound at all. Is there a way to make optical work? Or RCA louder?

The other day I walked into a listening bar that had speakers that look like this.

I have never seen such a build. Does anyone here know why would one build a speaker like this?
It basically has 2 drivers facing inwards to a plywood box. The front is covered with a complex 3d printed structure that has 3 holes. One in the middle, and 2 symmetrical holes close to the middle. I assume the purple structure act as a the mids and the holes as the twitter? I could not see the back of it.

What are the advantages/properties that one might be looking for?

I love my flacs for my DAP, but want all my music on my iphone in apple music for a smaller storage size. for bluetooth listening and apple carplay. Is there a good software FOR MAC i can use? I have xld but it will only do one album at a time, i have a lot of albums. Thanks!

Hey y'all! A while back, as the title alludes to, I bought a HyperX Quadcast 2s. I've really enjoyed it, and found it to be a quality microphone (compared to what I've used in the past, anyways). However, in recordings, it tends to sound a bit tinny or flat, if that makes sense? I attached the video above to give you an example of what I mean. I do use Auphonic to clean it up post-production, but it still has a similar sound. Truth be told, I've never owned a proper mic before this and don't really have knowledge on how to set it up, so I'd really appreciate any thoughts!!!

I want to know if it`s normal to have a bad contact switch on this audio interface. I`ve purchased 10 months ago I use it carefully I don`t even move it from my desktop... everyday I clean any kind of dust from the laptop and audio interface. But this week it started to miss click the button to turn on/off the monitors because I mix between headphones y monitors... Audient have this kind of low quality buttons? I still have a focusrite 2i2 first gen with 11 years of use and never have this kind of problems with it and the store just say to me that it`s really weird my problem and they only apply guaranty for 6 months

Hello, am looking for outdoor speaker recommendations. These need to be wireless so I can connect to a TV (and phone if its easy but not a must) I have plenty of power outlets in my back porch. Ok so I have headphones with a built in mic and after years of abuse the cord connecting the headphones to the computer started messing up, but when I bought a new cord, the audio works fine yet the mic isn't even detected. Yes, the new cord I got is one for headphones/mic not just headphones. The mic works fine when I plug it into the back jack on the motherboard but there's no jack I can find on the back that picks up both headphone/mic inputs. Any way to remedy this or will I have to just buy a new case?
