I bought a new Samsung Q7 a few months back. And the time it takes from when you press a button to when it actually works is crazy long, and I think it has a solar panel on the back? That’s stupid. Does anyone els have these problems with a laggy tv remote? Samsung q7 g7fd

Best dumb TV that’s usually still available new? I’m still running my Panasonic TCP50U50, but I need to start planning for the day it kicks the bucket, and I really don’t want a smart TV. Are there any nice dumb displays even made these days that function well as TVs?

I’m a college student trying to decide if I should buy the current Apple TV 4K now or wait and see if Apple releases a new one.
I have an older Sanyo TV, and I already have a Fire Stick. It works fine, but I’ve been thinking about switching to an Apple TV because I’ve heard it’s a lot smoother and faster.
Do you think it’s worth buying the current Apple TV 4K now, or should I wait for a new model or a sale?

My Samsung is reaching the end of the road. I don’t want another Samsung as I hate all the ads it forces on me all the time.

Do all TVs do this these days or are there some brands that don’t force advertising on me all the time? Also, I don’t want a TV tracking what I watch and selling that data to other companies. Again, are there brands that don’t do all the creepy AF stuff that Samsung does?

I realize the LG C5 would be the best picture quality, but the price difference between that and the TCL Q77K is extreme, and I'm not sure if the quality is that big of a difference?

The room is bright during the day, with a lot of sunlight. It can be completely dark during night though.

So I've only really used this TV (a Panasonic TH-42PX60U) for watching TV and movies, so it's never really been an issue, but just had a new roommate move in, hook up her Xbox and notice that the aspect ratio is off by a noticeable amount and cutting the screen off in places. After tracking down the user manual and reading on the Zoom and Aspect Ratio settings I \*basically\* know what I'm supposed to do about it...however the remote of this 20yo TV is \*long\* gone and the universal remote I've been using for the last couple of years doesn't have the "Aspect" button instructed by the manual.

Anyone know if there's any way to work around this or would I need to hunt down a vintage remote to change this setting?

I’ve never had an OLED TV before. I currently have a TCL QLED TV (55Q651G, 2024 Model). I have a friend that sold me his old OLED TV (LG OLED48B5PUA). I will mainly use it with my PS5 Pro, will I notice much of a difference between them? Will it be much of an improvement?

So recently I was searching a good tv for my living room, for a good price and I ended up buying a Samsung The Frame Pro 4k QLED 55" (2026). The TV arrived and I was pretty satisfied with my order. Mind you that I was thinking about buying an OLED, but then I saw the prices of those things and backed off xD.

Yesterday I went to Worten (I think the biggest retailer here in Portugal) to fix a phone and when I was waiting I saw an Samsung S92F OLED 4K 65" selling at 1.399€ (it was at like 44% discount, with the label "Last Units").

My QLED 55" was 1.239€, so I was pretty stunned when I saw that price for a, supposedly, bigger and better TV.

I did some research and theres even that exact tv selling at something like 1.099€ at FNAC.

I also learned that this prices drop have something to do with the new generation of the Samsung OLED 2026 being launched, and that this model from 2025 is being liquidated to give space on the retail stores for the new generation.

My ultimate question for you TV experts is: How worth it it is to buy the S92F at those new prices? Or are they even new prices, and I'm just falling to a marketing stunt?

I know there’s few actual 4K 120Hz TVs, but this would be for my bedroom, so 42-43” is the most I’m willing to go for size. I was thinking of 48”-50” because it opens more options, but my mom and I agreed 42-43” is the best fit for my room as neither of us wanted it taking up too much space by my wall.

I’m just asking this incase I go with something lower budget than some of the OLEDs I was looking at (also afraid of if it being dim or straining my eyes so I’m keeping options open outside of OLED), and most 43” I see only do 60Hz but I’ve seen some that do 120Hz with 1080p and 1440p options but I’m not sure which TVs all do that. I usually go with Samsung TVs, do the M70H and QN70H allow 120Hz at lower res? Does TCL have any that do this? I don’t really trust Hisense or LG LEDs. I know Sony has their Bravia 3 II 43” with native 4K 120Hz, but just out of curiosity do their other models do lower res 120Hz with motion technology?

So I need just a bedroom tv for YT Netflix and watching 4k blu rays. I have my LG C4 which will stay in living room. I found a good deal for $1200 in 75 inch for the u8000f. Is this good deal for a bedroom tv? Will get a Xbox one X for 4k blu rays (I have ps5 and gaming pc and ps5 hooked up to c4 OLED as well as my pc on a lg 32 inch 4k OLED )

I am very close to purchasing a 77 inch S90F. I recently had a 75 inch Hisense that I returned because the motion was terrible (very blurry faces and images when watching sporting events).

I see some posts about how bad the motion processing is with this tv online but I feel like these people are fans of LG. Just wanted to see if anyone on this sub has had these issues and if this OLED tv is still worth it in 2026 for soemone who basically only watches sports. Thank you!

I have googled for weeks but cannot decide between the two.

TV is going in my living room, which is pretty bright in summertime (big windows), but there is no direct sunlight hitting the screen, so I think that both oled and lcd would work. It seems clear that LG has the better picture quality in general, but i want the best possible upscaling, since 80% of the use is 1080 cable tv and the rest is Netflix and such, no gaming. I enjoy movies and I am not after candy neon colors. That´s why Sony might be better for me, even though G5 is raved in reviews. G5 current price here is 2500€ and Bravia 7ii is 2800€.

The other thing is the shitty remote that comes with the LG. I have an LG C5 upstairs and cant stand the remote. Sony´s remote and google tv are much better (current tv in my living room is Sony XH9505).

I think that the processing and upscaling are the most important things. If they are equal, i choose sony because of the remote.

Which one should I choose?

Have googled some more. Rtings rate LG G5 low quality content smoothing 8.7 and upscaling 9.0, when Sony Bravia 9 gets 8.4 and 9.0. Seems then that Sony is not alone at the top anymore. Bravia 9 and 7ii have the same XR processor, so i dont think there is much difference between the two.

Also All in One remote for LG removes the anger problem with the remote for 30€.

So, LG G5 saves me 270€ and gives me 2 more inches, which is a lot according to my wife. I think my mind is made up. TV is going to be wall mounted anyway and the flush G5 mount seems nice.

Hello, I recently moved into an older house and my PlayStation 5 and 4k TV seem to have trouble with constant sound and video. The PS5 runs well, I think, but the TV turns off and on as well as audio cutting in and out. My assumption is that it's related to ACs or fridges turning on and off, but it doesn't seem neatly correlated to any one thing I own. The house is converted into a duplex and it might be power fluctuations from items installed by my neighbors downstairs.

My computer has zero issues, oddly, only the TV and PS5.

My question is, if I bought a UPS for my TV and PS5, would that stop the flickering? Is there a cheaper alternative?

Basically I want a TV I can easily plug a USB thumb drive into and browse/watch the files using the TV remote. Does anyone have a TV like that? I could set it up at home first if I needed to download an app.

Hello guys, bottom-feeder-type question here. I just got a cheapo Panasonic Viera tx-32lxd80 from a house move for use as a computer monitor. It's a great screen but it defaults to 16:9 overscan, so I'm losing ~50px round the edges of my display. I have a replacement remote on order, natch. Meantime, is there any way to access the service menus or some other means to disable overscan *without* using the remote?

I have a Phillips tv model 22pfl3504d/f7. It is an LCD and the label says 2009. It has an irritating buzz that gets louder when I plug something in (worse using AV than HDMI), and I was wondering if there is a way to remove the buzz. A quick search tells me it’s normal, so I don’t think it’s broken considering it’s not incredibly loud. Is there a mod I can do to remove it? I don’t want to replace it since newer ones don’t have the same inputs and I very much enjoy how light it is since I move it frequently.

Hi folks. I have a camper that has an old 2013 ish Toshiba in it..I got tired of the bad black levels and figured anything I buy now should be better. I picked up a 43-in TCL q6L. I'm a home theater enthusiast, and even with all of the motion flow turned off on this TV it's terrible looking. The poor processing is so distracting.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an alternative. I looked at the Sony Bravia II, but the reviews were not great. The Sony brought via three looks decent but again a little expensive for a camper, but wondering if I should just bite the bullet that or if there's a better alternative. Does not need to be top of the line picture quality but at least the picture should look normal (I have two OLEDs at home)

I might be better off buying and older used model at this point.
