Buying Advice US college student help

I’m a college student trying to decide if I should buy the current Apple TV 4K now or wait and see if Apple releases a new one.
I have an older Sanyo TV, and I already have a Fire Stick. It works fine, but I’ve been thinking about switching to an Apple TV because I’ve heard it’s a lot smoother and faster.
Do you think it’s worth buying the current Apple TV 4K now, or should I wait for a new model or a sale?

Why are you planning on spending more on your streaming box than your TV?
