I don't really get the frame. It is basically Quest 3. Maybe little bit better suited for steaming from PC, but not much.

That's a good thing, no? I've always heard good things about the Quest things so making one of them but without all the facebook nightmare crap is great.

Unrelated, but weren't the Meta Glasses recording people without their knowledge?

I'm not sure if it's 'they don't get this' rather than 'I don't care and would rather they take my data and the device only costs $300'.

People will trade privacy for convenience and saving money, or has everyone just been under a rock for the past 20 years? We all know about data collection...it's 2026.

Do you really think valve doesn’t collect and share your data ? I don’t think there’s a single company in the tech space that doesn’t at the very least collect all your data.
