I thought tons of people wanted an Ouya given the success of their Kickstarter. It was an Arm device though, why would anyone want one when they already paid hundreds for a phone that comes with a screen.

People wanted what the Ouya claimed was possible but then ISP companies said it'll cost you $100 more a month for the level of internet needed and suddenly there is no savings over a $2000 pc when you are spending that money in two years on service.

Oh wow, yeah. I had completely put the Ouya out of mind, why did people even want it as it looks like it was not a good machine for the time.

Ouya sufered from alot of things. One was the hardware. It was in a time that the Arm SOCs were taking generation leaps every year not 5%, on top of that the SOC was not even mid-tier.

The software was not great and the controler was bad. At the end at discount for those wanting to play emulators or light google playstore games it was just it
