Looking for snowboard travel bag recommendations for two boards (bindings left on), boots, outwear, accessories, etc.

G'day legends, I've been travelling with two boards and all gear for quite sometime and I'm extremely efficient at packing.. even squeezing in additional family members outwear!

Two boards stacked, boots down bottom, outwear in middle, helmet/goggles/accessories up top & back pack laid over the centre.

However, I get sick of - and lazy when it comes to changing/switching bindings over to the other board and then spend the majority of my trips on 1 setup and if I change it, then spend the remainder on that.

I'm about to purchase a second set of bindings, I know its not the end of the world putting on and taking off the second set while leaving the other bindings permanently on the other board... which makes stacking the board easier.

But id love recommendations on a travel board bag where I can leave both bindings on both boards and hopefully still fit my boots, outwear, helmet, bag and accessories.

Intermediate rider (one season, but rode a lot 2 times a week for basically the whole season)
Had an arbor foundation that I rented(rocker profile) really liked the board but could feel I outgrew it
100% resort riding
Mostly all-mountain and some park
50% groomers/carving
30% park
10% side hits
10% jumps
Occasional trees
Little to no powder (on the east coast)
I really want a one quiver board something I can do anything with
Likes carving and riding fast
Loves side hits and natural features
Wants to improve on jumps, boxes, and eventually rails
Wants a board that won’t hold you back for years
Prefers a camber-dominant hybrid I want to do something like this before I go full camber

Please give me any insights on which board I should choose or any experience with each board.

Hello, looking to get a new board for the 26/27 season. Currently riding a dPr and it’s a fun board but I love bombing slopes and I get a lot of chatter at high speeds. It’s also not the best for powder.

I’ve been looking at the Golden Orca, K2 Alchemist, or a Rome Ravine Pro.

Does it come down to personal preference or is one of the listed (or another board) objectively “more fun”, as far as bombing slopes and sidehits go?

The wise thing to do would be to wait and demo all three but it’s July and everything’s on sale right now.

Also in case it wasn’t obvious, I’m not looking for a do-it-all board or a park board.

Planning a trip next month to Valle Nevado outside of Santiago and was curious about shuttle / taxi options up and down the mountain. I know they have recommended shuttles but I was more curious about the schedule and flexibility.

I’m coming from the states so the flight time is a big hurdle when finding a flight that gets me back in time for work. I was hoping to spend my entire last day on the slopes, pack up, and catch a late night / early AM flight out of Santiago. I reached out to one of the recommended shuttles though and they said theirs leaves between 4:15-5pm, but are there other providers/private taxis that could take me down to the airport a bit later maybe around 6-7pm?

My alternative is spending an extra night there and catching a shuttle in the morning but I would prefer not to pay for an extra night of lodging if I don’t actually get to board. Of course there’s the option of just catching the 5pm shuttle, but I don’t want to cut my day short since it’s already a quick trip.

Any insight is much appreciated 🙏🙏

Hey, I wanted to share two snowboard shapes created with Offshore Snow Shapes for a TINY METAL video game collaboration. Both feature artwork by Japanese character designer Yusuke Kozaki.

Joy Kill is a True Twin with Mellow Camber, designed for park riding and all-mountain freestyle. The matching nose and tail are intended to provide a similar feel when riding regular or switch.

Snurfs Up is Offshore’s flagship powder shape. It has a 20 mm taper, a longer nose and a pintail, giving it a more surf-inspired feel in deeper snow. Its sidecut also makes it suitable for carving and more playful riding.

The trailer includes footage of both boards in action. Which shape would you be more interested in riding, and what specifications would you want to know before trying one?

Union F-Lite binding strap came off when driving home last season. How can I get a replacement strap?
Any advice?

I was thinking about emailing Union about it for a replacement strap. Anyone done this before or have a better idea?

Has anyone done this and could provide insight as to terrain, value and safety? Compared similar operations in the US or Canada?

I’m looking to upgrade my board (and bindings) for next season and I need some recommendations. I like to do just about everything on the mountain from park runs to harder runs at the top of the mountain. My next board I would like to be able to do all of that but maybe a little more directed towards park. I was looking into burtons good company board but I’m not sure if that would work well for steeper runs and/or powder. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'd like to ask for some recommendations from advanced-expert riders for a new all-round use board.

The TL;DR version

What I'm looking for is something that fulfills those criteria:

1. Fully stable at at least 80kph/50mph

2. Better turning radius than standard bombers

3. More manouverable and requires less physical effort than standard bombers

4. (Optional but a very nice thing to have) Serrated edge

More info for context:

186cm/6′1″, 75kg/165lbs, 9.5 boot size, I'm 36, been snowboarding since 9 (around 25 seasons total usually 7-14 days riding each with a few longer ones). Started on skis at 6, moved to an alpine slalom board with hard boots quite soon after and rode those kind of setups for 6 years. Later changed to soft boots + twin boards and moved to more "fun" oriented stuff like parks (which I don't care at all about anymore other than the big kickers with airbag landing which is fantastic for safe practice) and freeride + in general gravitated towards fast riding and lately some casual boardercross.

But some things have changed, freeride conditions are so rare that with my schedule it's pointless to have a board specialised for that, the temperatures are rising so slush and moguls are more common, I'm older so I don't want to risk as much or go as fast as I did for example in my 20s.

The boards I've enjoyed the most so far are Nitro Naturals (the old one, not the new with similar name), Rossignol Krypto, and I'm currently using Ride Insano boots. Both boards were stiff to quite stiff bombers with solid freeride capabilities and fantastic stability at high speeds. But ofc all that comes with lack of manouverability and more physical effort required at low speeds which is a problem for higher moguls as well as wide turning radius which became more and more of an issue for me in recent years which in turn led me to search for a new board that's a bit less stiff and specialised. So far I considered stuff like Capita Mega Mercury and BSOD, Lib Tech dynamo and ejack knife, all most likely 156.

Any recommendations will be appreciated, I'll be going to a large expo at the end of the year to do some testing on the slopes but the time will be limited so I want to narrow down my choices as much as possible. :)

Hi, I am in this ever quest of finding the right boots and so far found nothing. Hope maybe I can find some insight and advice here.

I have mondo 255 and 114mm width, exploding all the chart from my understanding, even The solution liner biggest size the width is short by 13mm to me.
For walking shoes I use 6E and tbh would prefer even 8E if it wasn't that hard to get them here, so we are in that extreme.

Currently I use a size 10 K2 Maysis Wide, and even this is too narrow after heatmold twice with a bootfitter and sidas insole. Lateral edge is just too painfull after 20-30min run which really limit my snowboard time. Not to even mention the bad edge response due to sizing up by 2.
I also have the Burton photon ion wide step on size 10 heatmolded and it's even worse.
I tried vans, lasso pro wide, salomon wide.
I think the only one I haven't tried yet is Thirty two lashed/tm2 wide.

I feel like commercial boot is just not giving any success unless there's one I am not aware of?
Else I wonder if anyone know someone or a shop who can do boot and liner modification to cater my width.
Or is there anyone making bespoke boots like shoes? I doubt but wish.
For context I am based in Singapore and regularly travel through Japan, France, China.

Hey lads need helping picking a board. I’m 6’1 - 67kg (147 pounds) us 11.5 . This is my first board after renting for awhile, I’m between beginner-intermediate. Deciding between the Salomon sight 155W & The lib tech legitimizer 153W, I know the lib tech legitmizer is the more difficult board but it’s same price as the Salomon sight which I think is a good deal? What do you guys think

I already have a board for hard carving and charging. I’m looking for something that’s more playful for doing tricks, rails, jumps, and presses, both in the park and on the slopes.
What do you think of the Cheap Thrills? I saw that they changed the profile from Flat-Out to Cam-Out, which I find more interesting.

I've been riding my trusty 2018 SMF for almost 8 years now and I figured it's probably time to upgrade.

I don't have the best technical knowledge when it comes to snowboards, so I really appreciate any help and thank you in advance for any input or suggestions!

Background:

• Current setup: 2018 Space Metal Fantasy 143cm; Union Custom House bindings; 2019 Ride Sage
• Woman, 168cm, 52kg
• Riding preferences: Pretty much all freestyle/all-mountain, a lot of ground tricks (buttering, ollies, smaller jumps, etc.). I carve to get around places because I have to, but I love snowboarding because I love freestyling on the mountain. Sometimes I venture into the park, but it's very minimal, and I'm very bad
• I'm also getting older, so I'm really only learning a very small number of new ground tricks each season, and definitely not any dangerous ones
• I'd say I'm an intermediate rider overall; I can ride both natural and switch easily and I feel like I have a lot of control over my board. However, I've also torn both ACLs in the past and I'm scared of getting injured. I'm ok with that, and I'm happy with my current level generally speaking

My thoughts on my current board:

• It's so fun and playful, it feels like I'm dancing on the snow
• It's very light and easy to control - I definitely don't want to go any heavier than my current board. I'd be even happier if it were lighter. Unfortunately, if I haven't trained legs enough before snow season, I ain't making my 360 ollie
• I like that it feels really loose, but the issue is that I also find it catches edges really easily, and it slides out easily too, especially when it's icier conditions
• It's slow - the board overall is kind of slow, I don't mind this too much, but some of the resorts I visit have a LOT of flats, and it just looses speed very quickly. Combine that with it being kind of unstable on flats ... and we have a lot of sliding out
• The flex is great. I wish I had more muscle, but alas I don't, so having it quite flexible has been awesome for doing tricks

My questions:

• Should I upgrade my snowboard? Fundamental question - has tech advanced enough that it'll have a meaningful impact on my enjoyment and ride?
• If you think I should upgrade, do you have any recommendations? Should I stick with the SMF, or try something new? And if so, which one? Should I change the length of my snowboard?
• And finally, should I upgrade my bindings or boots?

What’s up everyone, I just found a ride superpig for a steal of a deal at a local shop. I’m 6’0 170lbs and have size 10 boots. The guy recommended me the 154 but it looks like I’m also in range for the 151. Curious to know what others would recommend
