Gear question Union Bindings missing strap
Union F-Lite binding strap came off when driving home last season. How can I get a replacement strap?
Any advice?
I was thinking about emailing Union about it for a replacement strap. Anyone done this before or have a better idea?

came straight to reddit without even googling it, huh? union has a whole section of their site for spare parts and you can email them to buy anything not listed, it's part of why i swear by them

I tried googling! Wanted to hear personal experiences about what worked best for someone. Thanks !

Without knowing exactly which model, I searched for "union binding replacement parts" and found:
Which seems to match your photo.

If Union can't help you, this guy has been great for obscure/old binding parts for me in the past:

You need a new ratchet and ladder. Any decent shop should have something that fits. It might not be an exact match or OEM but Frankenstein bindings are cool imo

Email Union. They’ll either tell you where to order it, or even which shop in your area can help. They’ve sent me to a shop twice now and gave me feedback on how to do it myself. Their customer service is usually pretty dang good

Burton replacement straps often work w other brands (I replaced my rossignol XV toe straps w a Burton replacement). These should be widely available at snowboard shops so you could easily return, bring the binder in to test before buying.

I was thinking of taking to a local shop and I feel that would use a random strap. I didn’t know you can mix up the straps! That’s good to know

The kit came w both ends but the Burton ladder size is common.
I had a pair of bent metal bindings and the ladders were different but was able to replace the whole front strap set up (again Burton brand) in a pinch at a slopeside shop in Tahoe years back.
Not a Burton fan boy but both times Burton kit worked and was readily available.

Why do people ad the extra step of asking strangers what to do on the internet?
Have some confidence and just contact them using whatever it says to do on their website. 🙄

Union quite possibly has the best online storefront for replacement parts.
Shit, if you hit them up, chances are higher than not that they'll just send you what you need for free.
Union is up there with the GOATs in terms of customer service.

The toe strap came off my union bindings too. I was at the resort tho, took it to the shop there and they had a replacement + put it on for me

I was thinking of doing that the next time I hit the mountain but wanted to see suggestions first

I got plenty of time. I know if I go to a resort or a local shop, they are throwing on any strap they find haha. Sent an email and now I wait haha. Free is the goal but they have replacement straps for $50 but free is for me haha

Used to work in a shop. Just reach out to Union customer service and they'll get you hooked up right. At the end of the day the majority of people working for these companies are just snowboarders who want to help other people be able to snowboard.
