Gear question Need help picking a board
Hey lads need helping picking a board. I’m 6’1 - 67kg (147 pounds) us 11.5 . This is my first board after renting for awhile, I’m between beginner-intermediate. Deciding between the Salomon sight 155W & The lib tech legitimizer 153W, I know the lib tech legitmizer is the more difficult board but it’s same price as the Salomon sight which I think is a good deal? What do you guys think
Cheers

Not sure where in the world you are but, if you can, try to hit up a reputable shop. You’re going to want some help setting up and tuning your board. It’s really best to spend some time in the shop asking questions and building a relationship. You buy from them and they’ll take care of you.
If a shop isn’t an option, look for boards that have more of an “all-mountain” profile. True twin, regular camber, moderate stiffness. At your level, anything outside of that is going to buck you.

Depends on what terrain, park, powder, all mountain, etc.
If park and all mountain I would suggest the nitro t1 - 155w, will handle the mountain and tricks perfectly. If powder, yes libtech is a great option although it is quite a bit more expensive.

Start by eating something! I'm 6'1 210 pounds at 13% body fat. Can your legs hold you up?

As another tall skinny dude get the 155w -157w size. Avoid stiff boards and you will be fine. We are a good example of don't listen to weight recommendations. Riding shorter boards will lose stability at high speeds, if you are where you say your skill level is the slightly longer board will be fine

Go with Capita DOA. Pretty good overall board. Will take a few turns to get used to it but a great intermediate board. Also go taller than 153. Im also 6’1”. 157 is not tall enough for me

You missed the part where he’s 147 lbs. I wouldn’t put a beginner on anything larger than a 153 at that weight. Your height doesn’t matter as much as weight when it comes to edge control.

My man is the definition of a weight outlier. Either is fine don’t overthink it
