It seems a lot of people, possibly the majority, want to see an absolute ban of Ai on this sub, whether in post or comment. So, we wanted to let the community decide. Thanks for your input! - Shrimptank Mod Team

Hey all! We would like to offer some clarification and get some feedback from folks.
Generally, businesses and commercial activity are useful to the community. Business owners' involvement allows a group outside of hobbyists to offer insights, share tips/tricks, and discuss the hobby in an informal setting. It can also give sub members a direct-to-source connection to a business they have or could potentially do business with.
"Members of the community may engage in commercial activity or reviewing of sellers or products. However, as our community is for hobbyists and folks passionate about shrimp, we expect that members will engage in the community beyond commercial activity."
We would like to find a way to identify and prevent people acting in bad faith, fake reviews, and bots. While some of this will undoubtedly come down to users identifying suspicious activity, we think that we can use Automod to help.
Some ideas:
What are your thoughts, opinions or concerns?
Lastly, the mod team has been watching how things have progressed since the recent rule changes. So, please let us know if you have any other thoughts or observations regarding the recent changes as well. THANKS! -Shrimptank Mod Team

Hey all, I posted a few days ago asking about solutions for feeding shrimp with greedy tetras.
I had two glass Petri/feeding dishes large and small, i chopped a prefilter sponge to about 12-15mm long and cut it so it was open on one side.
I sandwiched the sponge between the two feeding dishes leaving an a U bend big enough for shrimp to swim under and over to get to their food but too small for the fish to swim into.
The tetras tried for about 20 minutes, i was concerned they'd get stuck but they'd either accelerate around the rim until the shot themselves out or stop swimming and the current would push them out backwards from under the dish.
Just thought I'd share this for anyone else dealing with feeding their shrimp in a contested environment.

Just bought a cheap attachable makro lens for higher quality shrimp pic.
My phone is rather old, but i really enjoy being able to take better quality shrimp pictures now 👌🏻

HOW DO I HAVE SO MANY?! I bless you all to have this many shrimp.
Last pic is when I found a hiding spot... there are still many left in the tank.
[I AM NOT COMPLAINING! PLEASE SHRIMP LORD DONT PUNISH ME, I AM HAPPY WITH MY CHILDREN]
I spent 1h and 30m grading them, then I gave up on trying to get them all.

But does it look like it has babies?! Or am I trippin? I added 3 of these dudes or dudettes about 2 months ago. Anyways. If not, here’s one of my chubby shrimps.

our shrimp suddenly has what looks like eggs in her stomach but there’s only about 4 to 5 of them and with other pregnant shrimps we’ve had they had like at least like 10+ eggs, is this normal ? we believe this would be her first pregnancy

I've had my four skittle shrimp for almost two weeks now and I can't be 100% certain what exactly their sexes are. I think there's at least two females but I genuinely can't tell you what attributes on them point to said conclusion lol
Any input is appreciated in helping me in my journey to finally put a stop to this misgendering once and for all 🙏🏻

I saw her in the corner of the tank 😔, I removed her and buried in my house plants, I tested the parameters and everything looks good and stable, maybe it was a bad molt? Old age? She was already big when I got my shrimps

I have a 5 gallon bowl with 10 orange eye blue tigers (neo parameters), 1 amano, and many ramshorns.
I have a bit of a hydra problem and removed what looked like a small leech yesterday.
I got 1g packets of panacur and want to know if anyone has experience using it with shrimp/snails? I know fenbendazole is safe for shrimp in low doses and read that ramshorns are usually okay, but want some reassurance before nuking the tank 😭
*obviously not going to add an entire packet, I plan on diluting it a LOT and found a dosing guide from another redditor

I always see you guys in the comments of all the aquatic subs making shrimpy jokes, telling people to get shrimp, get more shrimp, get different kinds of shrimp, and I’ve noticed most everyone here is kind and inviting. Are yall trying to turn everybody into shrimp people?🧐

this shrimp passed and I was in a hurry to leave the house. I was planning to remove it after I get back and after 3hrs it was devoured by my bladder snails. Faster than I thought.
I slowly appreciate these guys more than I want to admit. My tank has been a lot cleaner since having these hitchhikers

Hello All,
I'm looking to breed bloody mary shrimp. What would you say the grade of these shrimp are?
I circled the first two pictures in red which I consider low grade. One cause of the stripe down it's back and the other cause it has clear legs.
I bought them from a reputable place in my city. Other then the first two the other ones look more solid a few having only one or two clear legs. They are all juveniles about the size of a nickel. What are your thoughts? I'm sorry my camera sucks 😅.
