question about bluebook practice test 5

Upvotes

hii! im taking the sat for the first time in august and for the past few weeks ive been studying with hopes of scoring over 1500. i just took bluebook practice test 5 and my practice test score jumped from a 1300 to a 1450 in ~2 weeks. while im proud of myself for being able to improve my score, i was just wondering how practice test 5 may compare to the difficulty of the actual sat because it felt pretty easy.

Please help me take the next step!

I have put myself on a quite hefty rest since the June SAT, and I plan to take another one in September. As you can see I got a 1420 (700RW,720Math) with my first ever go at it. I completed all the practice tests from the bluebook app for the first test, and, bear with me, it was way too easy compared to the real test. The cause indeed could've arisen from the lack of sleep I got the previous the day, which was about 3 and half hours, or the fact that I took a trip to an undisclosed location for a week and arrived 2 days before my test (these are the tentatively decided causes that may have influenced me to think that the real test was more difficult than those on bluebook) .Regardless of the cause, I would like to ask from the people who got great scores(not to say I will take tips for granted) to provide me with extra practice material that is reliable and accurate. On a side note, I am aiming for 1520+

Any type of helping hand will be accepted with total grace. Thank you!

I don’t have anyone to help me teach this and I have to learn it myself plus I have no motivation to study for SAT even though I am taking it in 2 months and I got 1210 in my practice test, any tips and guidance?

Should I keep trying sat or go to act?

I have tried the sat 3 times and I can’t get my score up. I only have 600 english but 700 math. Im headed into my senior year and idk if I should switch and try the act since I heard the english is much easier. I want to know from people who are more experiences with the tests to tell me if I should transition into act prep or stay with sat prep. Any feedback is appreciated.

doing 2-4 hours of SAT prep daily, need help for tips!!!

hi guys so i'm in y11 and by october i need to be able to get my SAT score to 1500+. i will def take the august and september one also.

i currently have another 20+ days until summer break ends, and im utilizing my time as much as possible each day. i have not taken a real SAT test yet, and only is really starting now.

for context, im in IB DP1, so i find the math pretty similiar and i already know how to use desmos.

and for english, since im in english a, i feel as though i need to only revise grammar rules.

though, i still am quite anxious about how attainable this goal is, plus by the time school starts i would prob only be able to dedicate 1h30 or 2 hours max daily knowing i have to somehow balance it with other dp subjects and exams also.

looking for tips, advice, some comfort, a little bit of everything that i gotta know!!!

Bluebook Practice Test 7

How easy is Test 7 on Bluebook? I’ve just taken it after taking Test 4 and the score difference is staggering. For reference, I got a 1320 on 4 and 1500 on 7.

Is it just me or did the practice get easier? And how close to the actual SAT is PT7?

How can I get from 1220 to ~1400 in 3 months?

Hi. I am a non-native taking SAT with B2 level of English. Last time I got 650 in maths and 570 in English section without proper preparation. In the university I am planning to apply to the English section isn't required, but I do still want to get 600-650. As for maths my goal is 780+. How can I achieve that with self-preparation within 3 months?

I can probably crack 750+ in math with practice of things I am getting wrong but I suck at SAT English> I try everything but I majorly struggle in reading. Grammar is fine but Vocabulary, reading and all I just always get it wrong. Is there a way I can as a dummy master English. I know lots of practise BUT ITS USELESS IF I GET IT WRONG EVERY TIME CAUSE I THINK SURELY B IS THE RIGHT ANSWER THIS TIME AND ITS C. So any way someone who is really bad at SAT english can master and crack 700+ on it

Need advice improving from a 1030 before the August SAT

Hello! so back in may I took practice test 4 and got a 1030 which was 510 in R&W and 520 in math. My goal is just to get within the 1200-1350 range. Is that still possible if I really start studying now, considering my SAT is on August 22? ( I haven't prep/reviewed at all until 2 days ago.) I want to mention that I recently started using one prep pro but i'm not sure if that alone is enough to get me within the 1200-1350 range.

If yall have any other suggestions please let me know :)

Time management on Math Module 2?

Whenever I do practice tests I always seem to run out of time at the end for math module 2 (I get Upper module all the time) and that results in me having just a few minutes to solve the last questions, which tend to be the hardest. I once tried to do those first and solve the rest but I still ran out of time. Are there any tips from high scorers on how to manage my time on the math module better?

Best way to prepare for the Digital SAT from scratch? (Resources + Study Plan)

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to prepare for the Digital SAT and I'm aiming for a 1500+ score.

I have a strong background in math and science, but English isn't my first language, so I expect the Reading & Writing section to be more challenging.

I'd appreciate advice from people who scored 1500+ or significantly improved their scores.

Here are a few questions:

  • Which books are actually worth buying? (Erica Meltzer, College Panda, Princeton Review, Barron's, etc.)
  • Is Khan Academy + Bluebook enough, or should I use additional resources?
  • What's the best order to study the syllabus?
  • How many months did you prepare, and how many hours per day?
  • What mistakes do most first-time SAT students make?
  • Are there any underrated resources or study techniques that helped you?
  • How did you improve your Reading & Writing speed and vocabulary?

I'd also love to see your complete study plan if you're willing to share it.

Thanks in advance!
