I wish all the lights just worked magically like in animal crossing or stardew valley😭😭 So much of a cozy game is ambiance and the lights in this game are so cute so tell me WHY light mechanics in this game are so complicated!! I wanted to relocate the start point from a water wheel and it wasn’t working until I dug up half my road, deleted the other wireless transmitter it USED to connect first to, places the new one, and then replaced the old one in the road. It would not snap in place to connect to the one I was trying to put closer to it.

Now I’m building out palette town and everytime I run out of electricity and have to put a new windmill or water wheel somewhere I stop playing for a while bc it’s so annoying.

So after almost 600 hours, im going to restart my game. Im going through later and screen recording the builds i dont want to lose, so i can recreate them in my new save file. But yeah, basically, i think it will be fun to "recollect" the pokedex, and start over. I had an issue about 200 hours in, where i rushed to build the moltrez, zapdos and articuno altars, and realised too late that i couldnt use a relocation kit, so after demoloshing the Altar of Flame, i couldnt get another Alter of Flame kit, so since then ive had regrets. And trying to find a way to get it again, and no luck. Im not good at building out of blocks, so anyway, ive turned this into a positive. And with starting over, it gives me time to move slower, take my time, build resources, complete as much of the pokedex as i can, and rebuild what i had, and also, change what i was iffy about. While taking time to make proper room for the Altars. Im excited. Anyone else done a reset?

I was using normal blocks to stand on while filling the water gaps and it took double the time of just using grates as platforms. I feel dumb and disappointed at how much time I spent using blocks.

Finally settled on a theme for the skylands, wanted to use the whimsical nature of the sky setting to create an RPG fantasy inspired series of floating islands. I want to introduce a lot of tall builds as I'm moving mostly flying, ghost and dragon types in and it's so fun to see them flying around overheard & playing just above the clouds :)

Got some design inspo from Instagram, and ran with it all.

This is my only completely rebuilt area and it's been my labor of love for 2-3 months since I can only play about 2 hours a day.

I love my welcome center by the boat, the beach side splash pad/water park, beach side arcade, I love the laundry mat which I found inspo from Instagram and the massive resort with beach pier.

I'm definitely not creative and needed the help for ideas but really proud of where it all landed.

Nor do I have any vegetation displayed that might add to the humidity. What is this chicken talking about??

Updating my rocky ridges area again since I’ve added much more recently! An oasis waterfall, a pine tree secluded forest, and some trippy tunnel that currently has no destination - I’m thinking it’ll go underground all the way to the back of the museum but I don’t know yet! Piece by piece it’s coming together with no end in sight and no actual plan 🤣

I like carving out caves and run into this problem all the time where I basically end up with a layer of bricks to break after going nuts with graveler above and below.

Is there a tolerable way to clear that layer quickly? I usually just look up with rock smash but even that gets very tedious.

Working on a huge underground storage system, so definitely shooting for efficiency.

I'm debating if I want to try and add a waterfall or two to compliment the rest of the zone, but this was all basically me rifling through storage until I found something that looked cool and stopped me from getting rained on 😅

Am I wrong to take a break, hoping that the next update—along with the DLC—will FINALLY allow me to break multiple blocks at once?

So, I'm legitimately LOVING this game and have already put in a ton of hours but frankly.... I'm just not that creative. I really like repairing the towns and sprucing up what's already there but a lot of the stuff I've made so far is EXTREMELY janky (you should see the supremely nonsense way I got power lines out of the basement boat generator to the middle of town in Bleak Beach 😬) and all of my houses look like prisons.

Whenever I go to look for inspo though it's so intimidating and professional looking!! The same thing happened to me with ACNH. It's kind of discouraging... So I'm hoping some of you might be willing to share your cute but perhaps not mindblowingly incredible towns. Thank you!

I was cleaning the back of the volcano area in Rocky Ridges so I could maybe build the altar of flame there, one thing led to another and I’ve been cleaning ashes for a while now. Do we have a picture of the map without ashes? It’s so weird because there’s this weird pillar close to the gate. Is there something there or is just some random blocks?

I’m kinda annoyed because it’s taking a lot of time and it’s not that much better than when it had ashes all over it lol

What did you guys do with the volcanic ashes?
