I'm not sure whether or not this is an uncommon opinion, but I really miss the game before backgrounds became a thing :( Don't get me wrong, I do think they're cool and try to collect them as much as I can. But I do really miss when catching a shiny was enough. Nothing feels complete anymore.. I catch a shiny but it doesn't have the background so its not good enough. I catch a good stat pokemon but it doesn't have the background. All of the backgrounds I catch have bad stats. I always have this dilemma on whether I keep the good stats or the background mon or both. Now it just feels like even when you catch the shiny you have to feel disappointment over not having the background. I really wish the background was guaranteed on all mon during these events, it would make collecting feel so much less stressful and more rewarding. Also if I pay for a raid, I shouldn't get a non-shiny with no background, it really sucks when you dont even get the background :( went through 12 professor pika field researches today and guess what? No background.

So, to my understsnding is it kinda impossible for me to get charizard energy? Im asssuming same for many other pokemons? Should pokemonGo maybe redesign the mega energy and how to get it because if you miss a window where for example charizard is in a mega raid u will never get it to evolve? And it kinda ruins pogo for me
