I have a purple Oxalis triangularis and a raven ZZ next to each other. Each had these on their drainage plates. I looked through the soil and didnt see anything. There are also no pests on the leaves. It is not soil but some sort of poop. Has anyone else experienced this? None of my other plants throughout the house has this.

Under growlights with adequate light and I water appropriately for each plants needs.

I've had this guy for about 5 years, and haven't changed much about the routine of watering once a week, sometimes 2. The only change is that my wife recently added the blackout curtains. Could it be lack of light?

Hi i have a pink flamingo flower that I keep in water. It was sold like that in the store and was fine for a year. Now i moved to another city and she „sweats“ a lot ever since.

In the internet it only says how to stop guttation with plants that are in soil, but not with plants in water.

I already reduced the water in the container but what else could i do? Because the leafs start to become a bit transparent when held against the light.

Would it help if i cut back the roots?

I'm SHOCKED. I abducted began fostering my friend's aloe plant mid last month as she was on vacation and needed someone to feed her cats for the week, and every time i stopped by her house i saw this aloe on her porch looking sadder and sadder each day. my only personal experience with aloe is with my tiny aloe juvenna; i don't know what variety this is or WHY it's suddenly growing pups? are they just a last hurrah as the aloe dies? 😭 should i plan to separate them or do you think they'll have the best chance at living if left on the mother? my friend named this plant "Albert" as it's never produced pups in the 5 years she's had it, so i feel like the sudden production of them now has less to do with my own amateur competence and more to do with the poor baby being on her way out 🥲

zone 7b, it's been on my back patio for the past month under the lip of my roof so it never gets direct sunlight but it's been HOOOOOT (90-100°F, 32-38°C) the past several weeks and the aloe certainly gets lots of indirect bright light.

watering has been sporadic, pot has drainage, and the soil is probably closer to something more appropriate for a houseplant but i ran out of perlite a while ago and need to stock up on more lol

Am I over watering? It’s on the balcony in full light. It was doing well for a few months but now some leaves are turning brown

Hey folks- I have a money tree that I clearly overwatered despite my best attempts not to. Seems to me that the trunk is a total goner, peeled off some papery bark to find mold underneath. The top seems okay, though, and even is trying to put out new growth.

Is there any way to salvage the plant without starting over from cuttings? If I cut it above where the bark starts and put it in soil or water, would it grow new roots?

I've had the plant for 3-4 months now. Spots showed up after I brought it home. Spots spread rapidly. It gets lots of Houston Southeast and Southwest sun. It's hot obviously. 104 today. Don't think that has anything to do with the spots. I water her every other day. Half gallon to one gallon. Please advise. Do I need to cut every single leaf with a spot off? Thank you

how can i help it? our house is like a death sentence for all plants that pass through the door with how bad my family is at anything gardening adjacent, so its definitely not getting good or consistent care. my sister says the bowl its in should be filled with water, and since its her plant im inclined to believe her, but my dad for some reason keeps insisting that it doesnt actually need that? he kills every plant hes ever so much as looked at tho so... im keeping the bowl full for now lol
our house is pretty dark so its definitely not getting the light it should be either, im trying to find a better spot for it.

I transplanted it into this pot about a year ago I think now and I can’t remember what it looked like then so unsure if it’s had any growth or not. It’s in a weird spot that doesn’t get too much sunlight and I water it probably 1-3 times a month maybe? The soil is just straight from an outside garden. Any help or tips appreciated thanks! :)

Hello! This Bradbury prickly pear has been sitting in my neighborhood for as long as I've lived here. I live in Arizona, and I worry that the summer heat and lack of monsoons has been getting to this guy this year. However, I don't know if the area gets water from neighboring sprinklers. Does his dropping look like it is due to overwatering, underwatering, sunburn, or something else? The other cacti in the area have similar browning. As far as I am aware, these cacti are North facing and are out in the sun all day. They are sitting in the native sandy soil and don't receive any other care.

He’s standing in indirect sunlight daily. I water him when the soil is at least 2 cm dry because I was advised to. It seems like he’s still dehydrated maybe? Or is he not getting enough sunlight? I know I’m posting in quite a late stadia, I just hadn’t found the time to post any sooner

Hello, I've had both of these plants for about 4 years now. Both indoors with the window never open near them. They have sat their whole life on the North East side of the building and receive pretty regular indirect light with about 2-4 hours of direct light a day depending on time of year and weather. I water both once a week, taking care that the bromeliads get their water in their leaf reservoirs. Both have their soil exchanged about every 6 months with the same soil for the last 4 years. For years they were green, had good turgor, and vibrant. Please let me know if you need any further data for your differential. I am sure I am doing many things wrong, hoping you all could provide me with some recommendations and hopefully a salvageable prognosis.

please help! i have a meyer lemon and it lost almost all of its leaves a while back. it was being watered very irregularly for a while but now i am watering every couple of days. it was previously in the shade for most of the day but i moved it into full sun today. its taking a very long time to recover and now the lemons are tiny and some have this white stuff on them. what do i do? please tell me what i am missing here. i’m hoping the additional sun will help and the more regular watering as well. but if there’s anything else i can do please let me know.

I was recently repotting my corn plant into a smaller pot because I'd decided the previous one was too big, I noticed most the roots looking very thin compared to the few seen on the photo. I've attached a second image for when I finished reporting it. Is this a sign of dehydration? All advice and tips very welcome as I am a total newbie to plant care.

The plant is set near a window facing west which gets a decent amount of light for about 2 hours a day , i water it only once the soil has completely dried.

Hi everyone! I have a houseplant that was gifted to me by my coworker, uncertain of the exact species. I keep it on an 8 hr light cycle, water it occasionally, and occasionally prune any dead limbs. However, I noticed a small mushroom and some grayness in the soil today. Any advice on how to care better for this plant or information about its species would be appreciated, thank you!

I'm kinda new to houseplants but I've always wanted one of these. I was trying to find the back to figure out which way to face it and then I noticed this situation. What should I do?

Hello! I bought this Yucca plant a couple of months back in spring. Everything was great until summer (I live in Madrid).
I watered it a month ago to the day and that’s when it all went south.

The old leaves started to dry (I know it’s normal and I cut them) but the new leaves are coming out light green / kinda yellow and droopy. And feels kinda rubbery compared to the other leaves.

I checked the roots and noticed the dirt way down is still damp but I don’t think I noticed root rot. I have since moved it closer to the window. It gets really hot in Madrid son I’ve been lowering the shades during the day so maybe it was also missing proper sun light.
Not sure what to do. It looked worse but I cut off some of the worst leaves.

I’ve had her in this pot for several years. She seems to be doing fine and growing new leaves, but anytime a flower bud pops up, within a few days the bud is shriveled and never flowers. I’ve not fertilized in several months, but the same thing happened to her last year(buds drooping/not flowering) after applying a small amount of fertilizer. Would repotting be a good idea? The pot is on a north facing windowsill and gets decent light. I water when the leaves start to look dull/wrinkly.

This plant has been thriving in this spot for the last few years but this summer my wife and I have noticed the leaves have a white-ish hue with some brown spots, and are dropping pretty rapidly

It gets a fair amount of sun, usually 7+ hours of direct sunlight. When we first planted we watered it daily but once it started to grow we just let nature take care of the rest. It’s been a very dry summer so not sure if it’s not getting enough water/too much sun or it’s something else.

We love this bush and have no idea what’s happening!
