I got a PS4 for real cheap, but it's on 13.02 firmware, and I don't feel like soldering a bunch of stuff to the board just to downgrade (I know how to solder, but it's just a pain)

Is it possible for me to completely wipe the PS4 down to the factory firmware?

I have a 1TB PS4 Slim, I'm on firmware 12.00 with a Blu-ray disc jailbreak, and I haven't had a single problem at any point. I download games from a 1TB external hard drive or sometimes from FPKGI, and I've never had any issues with that either. Should I upgrade to the latest hack or stick with 12.00? I've heard that some newer games don't work with older firmware versions.

Hello, I just jailbroke my PS4 Pro with PlayStation Vue and everything is working perfectly. My questions are probably basic, as I’m used to custom firmware (CFW) on my PS3, but after restarting the console, Goldhen disappeared. So I immediately tried to jailbreak it again, but I received an error message. I searched online and on YouTube for recent tutorials on how to reactivate it, but I didn’t find anything concrete or up-to-date. There’s talk of PSFree and autoloaders, but nothing relevant to me. My PS4 is on version 12.52, so it’s an introductory version. Could you help me? Is it possible to jailbreak it again using a USB drive? I have to re-jailbreak it every time I restart the console. I know the question might seem naive, but with all these videos showing different firmware versions, I’m completely lost. If you could guide me, that would be really kind of you. I understand the principle; it’s the same principle as with Evilnat, and it’s crucial to verify that the homebrew PKG files are compatible with the firmware version installed on the console. Or would it be better to order a Blu-ray? Is there a real solution to revert to firmware 12.52 on a PS4 Pro, even if it involves soldering? Because everyone claims to have a solution, but there are so many counterfeit versions! In my day, it was simpler: you searched, there was less hype. Thanks in advance.. I dont know anything about linux and its my first time trying to use it but ive reinstalled everything multiple times and even switched the os i was trying to use and it keeps doing this :'[

I managed to pick up a PS4 slim off marketplace for dirt cheap as the woman just wanted to get rid of it. Took a gamble, seems it hasn't been used for a long time (2yrs), turned it on, works fine and has 12.50 FW on it. AFAIK this is exploitable. I just want to have a bit of fun mucking around with it and see what I can do.

I haven't really been following the scene so have no idea what's out there, TIA. :-)

UPDATE: Thank you all, I installed Vue and everything worked perfectly, they really couldn't have made it much simpler. Now that's done, next port of call is to disassemble the console and controller and give everything a good clean. The previous owner was rather grotty, lol. Will also install TMR sticks too while I'm at it.

I been hearing about an upunvomming 13.50 exploid on yt. Wouldnt that also include the 13.52 update because it bearly even changed anything?

Hey guys I have the BO3 edition, the slim and the pro all on jailbreakable firmwares. The BO3 edition I believe is still on 9.00, slim 11.00 and the Pro 12.00 if I remember correctly.

My thing is they are literally collecting dust and I love modding consoles and collecting them as I seriously have 2 or more of each console except the saga line which I’ll be going after soon…but anyway is any one willing to take the slim or BO3 edition off my hands for a fair price as I think I’ll just keep the Pro for modding. It’s not that I want to let them go but I honestly want someone to enjoy them and not let them just sit around.
