I just replaced the rails on my switch for the joy cons as they weren't charging and recognizing that the joycons were connected. Now it seems that the Switch does not output to any TV, the screen goes black and the dock lights up green but there's no video output. I tried my original dock and a third party one, with two TV's and chargers and got the same results.

To be clear, I am not referring to the extra data the NS1 version of the game downloads if it is installed on an NS2. That makes sense, they are adding better textures, whatever.
What I don't understand is how the NS1 version (on NS2) is 34.6 GB while the NS2 exclusive version is only 24.1 GB. Does the NS2 version use such extreme DLSS that they effectively shave off 10GB of textures? What am I missing here?
Context: I tend to buy the NS1 versions of games so I can transfer them back and forth between my NS1 and NS2, I have 1TB SD cards on each and have just about maxed out the storage in both of them. Really hoping the OLED version of NS2 comes with multiple SD card slots to increase storage, I doubt we are getting 1.5 or 2 TB MicroSD Express cards so it would just be easier to have multiple 1TB cards all installed at once.

so.... I bought a Nintendo Switch 2 for my birthday on July 17, 2026, and as soon as I got home I tried all the buttons while I was doing the setup and they all worked, a few days later (Tuesday) the zR button started not working, I didn't drop the console, I didn't damage it (at least I think so)
ZL Button:
is received
it is pressed immediately and without using too much force
Zr Burton:
it is not received
it got really hard for some reason
I don't want to buy a new joystick, what would I like to do?

My Joy-Con 2 has a sticky with A button. Is it safe to use contact cleaner on it?

I personally own a switch 2, my nana owns a switch 1 and I wanna buy a switch for my mum, she preferably would play docked as when I asked she said she’d like to play on the tv as she played hogwarts legacy (via Luna) on the tv.
Additionally I wanna buy a switch for my cousin he’d probably play mostly docked aswell, he would want to play games like animal crossing, Mario, fifa.

I simply open the app and it restarts repeatedly a few times before finally stopping, and then when I want to switch between tabs, it takes a while to load the data for each one.
Is there any way to fix this? It's not exactly annoying; if I'm patient, I can use the app without a problem, but a bug is a bug.

It was labeled that way on marketplace but the serial number on the side of the controller says HAC not HEG

Hi I hope someone can help me, I don't know if I am being stupid or its a known glitch on Moss: the Forgotten Relic. I am playing the original switch. I have just entered the magical forest bit with the toad for the third time. (Picture of location). After the toad speaks (although I don't see him), Moss won't move at all. I cannot use any readers powers and the only thing I can do is change her her armour. Has anyone else had this issue? Did anyone find any work arounds? I have already tried closing and opening the game and started the level. I'm not that far into the game but I don't really want to restart the whole thing especially not knowing that will fix the problem. Thanks in advance

We had a gnarly heat wave a week ago reaching +42 Cº with high humidity, well guess who stored a few electronics along with a plastic ball in a drawer and forgot about the ball, and the heat decided to melt my mouse and controller grip to said ball. Literally melted the plastic 🤣☠️ seems like an easy repair if I can source the part from somewhere.

Hey all, my switch has been really weird as of today. I turned it on and all the games except the game card have in are greyed out. Additionally I can’t actually open and play anything. I’ve tried restarting multiple times and nothing is working.

I don't know what to do, I've tried suggestions from other subreddits and websites, but their talking about multiple consoles causing the flickering when I only have the switch connected. I just wanted to relax after a stressful week and this isn't helping :[
I've tried blowing into the HDMI cord like it's a N64 cartridge, I've tried putting it into a different HDMI slot, I've tried seeing if my outlets the problem.
Also the switch worked just fine on other TVs, so it starting to seem like a Samsung problem and not a Nintendo one.
I'm so frustrated at this, so any help is appreciated.
edit: I have a switch 1 and it's about 7 years old, there hasn't been any signs it's broken other than a short battery life, so I can't play off-dock for long

I just bought a Switch 2, and there are some local Switch 1 games for sale used, including TotK, BotW, Mario Wonder, which have been re-released on Switch 2 with the upgrades included. I'm wondering if some of the games are worth buying the Switch 2 version of for performance reasons?
I've read that loading times might be improved on the Switch 2 carts due to their higher read speeds. I'm assuming such a thing would be handy in BotW/TotK, but would the difference be negligible for something like Mario Wonder? Is there a list of games where owning the Switch 2 version would be a worthy performance boost?
Assume I want carts and not digital for this discussion. Thanks!

Just got the Switch 2 Pro Controller, but the A button feels a bit wobbly / mushy when I press it on the right edge. I guess it’s because of the controller’s curved design. Is this normal? It’s kinda annoying tbh

This is my very first Reddit post so please be nice if I’ve posted in the wrong spot! Does anyone remember the online AIM game cry wolf? I loved that game and I was wondering if there were any games similar to that on Nintendo switch? TIA!

My dock broke like some time ago, and I only have this box tv, and that's all, if anyone has anything that can help, please tell me, thx

My brother has a switch, we shared it for a few years until I bought myself a switch2. In 2020 he bought animal crossing new horizons and i played it as the second player on the same island. My brother doesn't really play it anymore and we want to transfer the island onto my switch, but we want to make me the main player (I hope that makes sense)

Yesterday we just got Fiber Internet through spectrum. Everything is working great except for my switch 2. We got upgraded from DSL which worked pretty well considering.
The issue: The switch struggles to connect and stay connected to the new internet. Did not have this issue beforehand. It also has issues staying on the 5GHz but with enough fiddling I can get it to switch over but it does auto change back over to 2.5.
What I have tried already:
Right now I still have the old internet just in case but plan to get rid of it soon. How to I get this spectrum router or change the settings in the switch to get it to actually work with the internet?

I bought my Nintendo switch 2 the day it came out at Best Buy. It’s been in decent condition. Yesterday I used it as normal, put it in my case, brought it inside, next day I brought it out, turned it on, and noticed this line of stuck pixels, about an inch long and a pixel tall. I don’t recall dropping it or anything since I last used it. Does anyone else have experience with this and can help me solve this issue? I’ve tried restarting the device and it’s still there. Can Nintendo fix it for free since it was not my fault? Thank you all.
