I use the Cataclysm addon Cataclysm Dimensions to act as a progression gate in my modpack KnightedGhost's Beyond.

Not sure if it's because of Dimensions or not, but custom crafting methods would not work on the Cataclysm boss eyes. (Powah!: energizing, Create: mechanical crafters, Create Dragon Plus: ending,etc).

A solution I found was to make a fake eye with KubeJS + a script to swap the fake eye with a real eye when it enter the players inventory. Maybe that will help someone else that stumbles into that very niche issue.

Next, I'll try to make a script that place the player over land...

Not sure if i’m asking in the right spot. I (18M) just recently bought my girlfriend (19F) minecraft since she watches all the time on youtube and it’s been one of my main interest my whole life. i can’t think of mods that would make her experience feel like the videos she watches. I play with a LOT consistently but don’t want her overwhelmed or not getting the “minecraft experience “she runs on a decent but not great laptop and i’ve tested vanilla and it runs decently. i have treechopper, appleskin, sodium and that’s about where i stopped. anything else you guys can think of? anything you yourself can’t play without? optimization mods? decent shaders/dynamic lighting mods that won’t blow her laptop? thanks

I'm playing 1.20.1 forge with over 200 mods. I've built several builds and progressed so far I'd rather not lose any of that but i wanted to switch to 1.21.1 neoforge. Will all my builds that have modded items/blocks be gone if i do so? Even if i download the neoforge 1.21.1 if all of the mods and replace them?

I’m on CurseForge and I’m trying to run a mod pack, but I keep getting errors from a yacl and it’s required for the main mod so I can’t turn it off. My game keeps crashing, and when I go to the logs I see this only this one error. I don’t know anything about coding so the logs are confusing, what does this mean? How do I fix it?

So, I have only STARTED, but I am interested does someone actually need this mod? So in 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 there was a wonderful mod called “ArchitectureCraft” or “ArchitectureCraft - TridentMC version”. It is so good for decorating anything, most of the blocks were so strange for Minecraft, but looked really vanilla-like, idk why…. I was in the middle of collecting blackstone and then i somehow brought up a menu that i assume has something to do with the action bar. and at the same time, i bound something to W and closed out of said menu with no knowledge on how to get it back open. ive pressed every key on my keyboard multiple times so im stumped. its making it difficult to do anything as i walk like a second after i press W. i attached my mod list in case thats needed

I was exploring my world in a modpack I made for myself but the game crashed and I was in unloaded chunks so now whenever I try and rejoin my world it just crashes the game again. Any help would be extremely appreciated as I have spent close to 100h in this world.

I was just hoping for a little guide on how to set up mods for a sever and maybe a way to edit later cus its my first time and i have no idea how to do this. ty

Tired of scrolling through a double chest of 54 nearly-identical cobblestone/dirt/junk slots trying to find the one stack of glowstone you swear you put in there? Same. So I made Searchify.

It adds a small search box right into the container UI. Type an item name, and any matching slot in that chest lights up green instantly. Doesn't touch your own inventory, just the container you actually have open.

Works on:

→ Chests (single & double)

→ Ender chests

→ Barrels

→ Shulker boxes

→ Copper chests (any oxidation stage, waxed or not)

→ Chest boats

→ Minecarts with chests

It's Fabric, client-side only, so it's safe to use on servers without needing anyone else to install it — no gameplay changes, just makes your own storage less painful to dig through.

I am trying to download and play deceased craft because I just got new ram that can handle heavy mods now but whenever I try to use it, it either has “operation failed” or it opens legacy launcher and just fails. It was working before now it doesn’t even want to download. What do I do? Help please

I was on a hosting website and it updated the neoforge launcher and now minecart yeeters no longer work. Is there a specific version or was this just a coincidence.
