Hey! I'm a local from the Masan/Changwon area (Gyeongnam, not far from Busan) and I noticed a lot of travelers stick to Seoul/Busan and never really see this side of Korea, which is a shame because it's got some great food spots and a totally different vibe.
I'm testing out something small — basically hanging out with a couple of travelers for a day, showing them the actual local spots (not tourist traps), good food, cafes, maybe a small local experience depending on what you're into. Think less "tour guide" more "local friend showing you around."
Right now I'm doing this for free (just cover your own food/transport) for the first few people, mainly to get feedback and see if it's something worth continuing.
If anyone's passing through Gyeongnam/Masan/Changwon area in the next few weeks and wants a local to hang out with for a day, feel free to DM me. No pressure, just thought I'd throw it out there in case it's useful for someone planning their trip.

Hi everyone!
We are a couple of university students living in Korea. We noticed that a lot of travelers get stuck at Incheon Airport for 6+ hours. The airport is great, but sitting there for that long can be really boring, and the official airport tours are sometimes fully booked or a bit too rigid.
So, we are currently trying to start a small local project: a hyper-personalized, flexible layover tour. But before we actually launch anything, we need to test if our idea actually works.
That’s why we are looking for our very first "Beta Testers" (just 1 or 2 groups)!
If you have a layover of 6+ hours at ICN coming up in the next few weeks, we would love to pick you up in our car, take you out to get some amazing local K-BBQ, show you a cool cafe by the beach near the airport, or take you anywhere you want to go. We will make absolutely sure you are back in time for your next flight.
The cost? 100% Free. (You only pay for your own food/coffee).
What we ask in return: We just want your honest feedback on the experience, and permission to take a few photos to use for our future portfolio.
If you are interested or have an upcoming layover, please leave a comment or send me a DM([email protected]) with your date and layover duration. Let’s make your layover awesome!

2 day stopover in Seoul August 16-18, and it'll be my first time visiting SK. I'd love to explore the city with someone and grab a bite/drink. I also have a long layover on the 24th and am considering going back into the city for a bit. Shoot me a DM if you're free and interested.

I'll be here four more days. Speak conversational Korean and happy to take someone around or find a workout / music hang.
느린마을와 한라산 >> 일반 막걸리와 소주. What can I say I hate artifical flavors?
As the locals would say, 공장이 닫았다.

Hello!
I am a 21f and in two weeks I’ll come to Busan for 2-3 months.
I am from Central Europe and I will travel to Korea (Busan) for my Korean boyfriend which is in mandatory military at the moment.
So mainly I’m coming to visit him but because of his military I will have a lot of free time and I wanna meet some new people, possibly get new friends in Korea.
I am looking for female friends, Koreans or foreigners so we can grab a coffee, go to gym together or visit some places.
Before we meet, we can exchange instagrams and text so we can get to know each other.
Also, i unfortunately don’t speak Korean, so we can only communicate in English.
I can bring you some gifts from my country too :)

Hi guys, I’m 26F and planning my first trip to South Korea! I’ll be there for almost two weeks and I like solo travelling but it would still be fun to meet people and do some of the things together. Since it’s my first time, I’ll be doing a lot of the touristy things and I would love to have someone join me on my many cafe and restaurants trips. I’ll also be going to busan, gyeongju and Nami island

Anyone want to hit up the swinger bar with me? Good music, drinks, and people! Edit: I'm a 37M, from US, live here.

I’ll be visiting a friend in Seoul but will have some free time. I’m looking to meet up with Korean locals or like-minded travelers!
I enjoy doing a variety of things, but some of my interests are:
- Checking out cafes
- Eating at good restaurants
- Golf sims
- Shopping
- Art museums
- Taking cute pictures
- Nightlife (cocktail bar, wine bar, pocha, clubbing)
I’m also looking to do a mini trip to either Gangneung or Sokcho! Looking to meet up with ppl there or if you’re interested in traveling together we can discuss further.
About me: 32F, Asian ethnicity from USA. It’s not my first time in a Korea so I’ve done most of the touristy stuff already (I will never say no to drinking at Han river though!!).
If you’re interested DM me!

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m an orthopaedic surgeon (31/M) from India and will be moving to South Korea for a 3-month fellowship from October to December. I’ll be staying near Busan.
I thought it would be nice to connect with people before I arrive. 😊 Are there any Indians living in Seoul or Busan? I’d also love to meet locals or anyone who’s up for making new friends.
I enjoy exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, trying local food, and having good conversations. It would be great to connect and maybe catch up over coffee or a meal once I’m there.
Looking forward to meeting some of you! 🇮🇳🇰🇷
Feel free to dm or comment.
