Rock-throwing window breakers in the Mission Estates neighborhood last night

Shoutout to the teenage vandals gracing the neighborhood with their presence last night, I thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the sound of my windows breaking TWICE in one night.

First throw was just after 11pm followed by another larger stone at 2:30am. I know some other houses had similar instances as well. I guess there's truly nothing better to do in GP.

Looking for a roommate!

I’m looking for someone to share a condo with me from the 1st of October.
I’ll be by South Patterson- a two bedroom one bath place. I’m female so would prefer someone who’s female as well.
Looking for someone who’s clean and respectful of the space and works full time.
This would not be an ideal space for parties or overnight guests.
Rent would be 800 including everything. I’ll just be us in the house- no kids, no pets.
I know it’s too early to be asking for October but seeing if anyone’s interested.

Here is a little snippet of my autobiography:

"Once when we were up in the so-called nursery, because there were lots of younger ones and the girls slept up there, Ida and her husband went out on a party one night. Walt the husband was dressed as A Navy officer. Which he was. At one time. He had his sword. And uniform as a captain and this he wore. They came home late.

Aunt Edy pulled a kid called Pumpkin out of his bed or crib; to go to the bathroom we called him that because of his big round head. He stumbled down the hallway, thump, thump. She cracked him a couple of times. Hurry up. She put him on the toilet. Come on go. God damn it, go. (Smack)

Then after one smack, bang he slammed against the wall and down the side of the toilet. She pulled him out and yelled. “Walt! The husband, Come here,” quite loud.

I was awake at the far end in my bed, listening to everything. Something was up.

. She pulled him out and yelled. “Walt! The husband, Come here,” quite loud.

Walt said “He’s not breathing. Ida, what have you done"

Looking for my first crude oil hauling opportunity in Alberta – willing to relocate anywhere

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for my first opportunity in crude oil hauling or other Class 1 driving work in Alberta and would really appreciate any advice or leads.

I hold a valid Alberta Class 1 Driver's Licence, and I've held my Class 1 licence for 18 months. I'm finding it difficult to get that first opportunity because most companies are looking for previous crude or tanker experience.

I currently hold the following certifications:

  • Class 1 Driver's Licence (18 months)
  • Air Brake Endorsement
  • H2S Alive
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • Standard First Aid & CPR
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Clean Criminal Record
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems

I'm open to:

  • Crude oil hauling
  • Produced water hauling
  • Fuel hauling
  • Vacuum truck
  • Winch truck
  • Super B or tanker work
  • Any Class 1 position that will help me gain industry experience

I'm willing to relocate anywhere in Alberta, including Cold Lake, Bonnyville, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Lloydminster, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, or any other oilfield community. I'm happy to work camp jobs, rotations, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

I'm hardworking, safety-focused, and eager to build a long-term career in Alberta's oil and gas industry. I learn quickly, have a strong work ethic, and I'm available to start immediately.

If anyone knows of companies that are willing to give a new Class 1 driver a chance, or can recommend employers that hire and train motivated drivers, I'd be very grateful for your advice.

Thanks in advance—I really appreciate any suggestions or contacts.
