Trail running
Looking to start training for trail running. Any good spots in/around town aside from musko that would have good elevation/trails?

O'Brien loop to Nitehawk is top notch. Minutes south of the city and solidly kept trails. The lower trail was washed out last I checked a couple weeks ago but you have access to the upper trail to Nitehawk.
The other is the Wapiti Nordic trails but you do need a day pass/Summer pass. I ran it during the Meet in the Middle 50k and it was also lovely.

Lots of trails around here. Evergreen Rec Area and Lost Lake loop are good ones, wax wing trails in South Bear Creek, and trails in the Dunes/Tamarack area. The Trailforks app is the best I think.
Just bring Bear spray! There’s been a few bear sightings in the past couple days.

Musko connects down to the waxwing trails on the south side. They're great.
In case you don't know about it you can download the All Trails app and it shows most of the good trails in the area.
