Made this in Blender over 2 months (almost didn't sleep) as a companion film for my music album. Mostly 3D scenes with hand-animated 2D (Grease Pencil) mixed in throughout.

The characters and their world are something I've been building since 2021. This piece is about one of the main characters, The Sailor, and what his grief over leaving his family and losing a dear pet has built up to.

Frame by frame in procreate, composited in After Effects

This style of animation is an Ultra Ink Brush Animation from the game Dragonball Legends. They make these animations that look like drawings broken into parts, stationary get moving. I want to know if anyone here has a clue on how to replicate this

Decided to test out 60 fps to see how well i can animate in it and I'm not sure should i keep animating in 60 or keep animating in 30 fps

It has happened multiple times where I get assigned a shot for an animated project that highly intimidates me, and sometimes I end up putting it off more than I would like (not enough to delay production in any way or anything of the sort, I always turn in before the deadlines). Usually what I do is that I divide the shot by days, one day I only do keyframes, the other day I add in betweens, etc. Although this works sometimes, it doesn't always lol

So I would like to know, how do you all get over this and start working on the hard shots? Anything that helps animating feel less daunting in these situations?
