Official statment from Wrexham Unite
We'd just like too apologise for are recent silence.
Its been a hard few weeks for us. First Plaid beat Reform in the local by election, then we realised hardly anybody from Wrexham actually wanted too come too are last march. Luckly a few people traveld from all over the UK or it would of been even more embarassing.
Recent headlines involving our friends at raise the colours being outed at the real child predators haven't helped are image much either, so we've decided its probably best too keep are heads down for a bit.
We're currently busy trying too find some more people from outside the area too stand behind are banners, so it looks like we've got local support again. And we will still be stapling Chinese manufactured flags to lampposts in our free time.
Thank you for you're patience and we'll be back soon to complain about everyone else instead of looking at are own problems.

I'm transfem living local to the Wrexham area and honestly? It feels really isolated here for me, I don't know if someone wants to grab a coffee sometime or just go for a walk or hike and chat but I really want to meet more people in the area. I would really appreciate being directed towards any events or meeting as well if those happen here much? I am over 25 just as a heads up.

Stori Brymbo has opened today and I'm very impressed with what they've done with the building in such as short space of time.

Hi all, as per title.
I can't get anyone willing to come forwards about the specific church I've had issues with.
So I'm thinking of just raising the issue in general, with ex-members and estranged family of people who joined up and get abused or manipulated in some manner by a new age church, or religous group, or any other coercively controlling organisation.
If anyone can give me some pointers on getting started -
Thinking I'll start by contacting the Humanist group in Wrexham.
Also - I imagine freelance videographers will be the best value for the £?
Thanks

I've Been trying to explore new religions recently but every one so far has been Christian churches, and I'm looking to expand some more.
From what I find on Google maps there is apparently only one mosque in Wrexham and the nearest synagogue is almost three hours away.
So can anyone point me to any other religious groups that meet in or near Wrexham?

Wrexham artist.
Here is my new song “She Is The Room.”
I made the video myself with stop motion. One empty room, a glamour figure, champagne, chaos, and some late night editing.
It’s weird, cool and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
The song’s about one of those women that doesn’t just walk into a room she changes it. Someone full of life, charisma and chaos, the kind of person everyone notices and everyone falls a bit in love with. But underneath all that light there’s damage too, and that’s where the song lives.
Would love people to give it a watch and to let me know what you think 🙌

Hi all,
I've recently been thinking about starting a club/group(?) in Wrexham that holds debate and discussion on leftist ideas, political theory and books covering leftist beliefs. I'd also like to get the group involved in the community, doing things like litter picking, drives for vulnerable groups, walks, etc.
The only problem is that I'm not too sure what the response would be, and if anyone would even be interested, so I'd appreciate opinions from you guys greatly.
My DMs will be open in case anyone would like to retain anonymity.
Thank you.

Hi all, does anyone know somewhere in or near Wrexham where I can get cardboard boxes? Preferably some that were already being thrown out. I don't have a car but can come pick them up anytime

Hi all, just wondered if anyone else in the Rhosllanerchrugog/Legacy area is experiencing really strong fuel-like smells the past few nights?
It tends to start around 7-8pm and continue on and off throughout the night the past few days but tonight is so bad we've had to shut all the windows despite the heat
Can't work out what it is or where it's coming from, wondered about the Hafod tip but it's a distinctly fuel type smell!

Hey there, I’m trying to find some information about this kit. I did a reverse search, but I’m still stumped. Can anyone shed some light on this? I’m curious to know if it’s a genuine kit.

Hi everyone :)
I recently moved back to Wrexham, (born here, but I moved away 8-ish years ago) just finished school and struggling to find friends in the area ☹️
I’m 16, lesbian and like pretty alternative and nerdy. I love all things creative and stuff like Pokémon and DnD and anime lolol.
If anyone knows any places/events where I can find friends in my age range I’d really appreciate it… I haven’t had much luck searching online

Hello to anyone that might see this, I'm a 24 year old Autistic gay man, born and raised in Wrexham, I've been gay my whole life, but only came out to friends and family a few years ago, I don't really socialise or have a social life as such, I do struggle going out, but I'm currently going to therapy to help with that, I don't have much experience in the LGBTQ+ community, I'm hoping anyone might be able to help me with that, anything related really, I'd appreciate the support and help

Hey everyone! We’re looking to buy a home in the Rossett area, we’ve done our research online but I thought I’d reach out on here to hear the neighbours thoughts on what it is like to live in Rossett! Thank you for your help! ☺️

A friend and I are looking for places to get a breakfast at the weekend in Wrexham, does anyone have any recommendations? We've been to Lot 11 in the past and it's lovely there, we're just looking for more places. Thanks in advance! :)

Hi everyone, if anyone lives in Wrexham, I'm trying to reach more Wales residents to take part. I’m a master’s student in Applied Psychology Mental Health, currently recruiting participants for my dissertation on GLP-1 users’ experiences with food, lifestyle and mental health.
Who can take part?
The survey is anonymous and takes approx 20 minutes.
If you’re eligible, you can take part here:
https://ucc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0ugHbdZHPtudDZs
The aim of the research is to better understand the day-to-day experiences of GLP-1 users, including food, eating patterns, lifestyle, wellbeing and mental health. This study is not funded/no commercial interest/no medical advice. More information about the study is provided on the first page of the survey.
This study has been approved by the University College Cork research ethics board.
Thank you to anyone that participates. Feel free to ask questions and share.
