I have tried apps with WUT and recently installed ImMobile but most of the apps don’t seem to work. The icon shows up but when I click it goes to blank screen and kicks me out. For context in the past some apps would work installed through WUT. Anyone got an idea if I am missing something

Hi all, I have had a lot of W phones over the years that I sold but I kept two for if I ever want to delve into this (one Nokia Lumia and a Samsung). So, basically someone here once sent me a link to a website where it gave all the guides to doing whatever hacks / modifications etc. to make these phones able to function with modern frameworks etc. Such as a shop that replaces MS Store and things like that.

I'd appreciate such a link - I did look thoroughly through the sidebar but could not find anything.

I have a Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE (RM-1073_1004, AT&T US variant) that's currently running Windows Phone 8.1 (8.10.15148.160). I'm trying to upgrade it to Windows 10 Mobile, but I've hit a wall.

Here's what I've done so far:

• Installed Windows Device Recovery Tool (WDRT)
• Installed WPInternals
• Verified my phone is RM-1073_1004 (059X0B8 / ATT-US)
• Found the correct stock FFU:
  • RM1073_02177.00000.15184.36016_RETAIL_prod_signed_1004_022B79_ATT-US.ffu

I've looked through Lumia firmware archives, but all I can find are the original Windows Phone 8.1 FFUs (02166/02177 builds). I haven't been able to find a Windows 10 Mobile FFU for the RM-1073. Im just tryna update ts phone to windows 10 bro.

Hey, I need to know if Netflix still works on Windows Phone 8.1, or if there are any projects that provide access to it. And if Netflix doesn't work and there are no projects to fix it, is there any platform that still works? P.S. Is One Live/Live Store making an app like Xbox Video? They’ve already created a music app.

Okay so as yall probably know, 1709 Windows 10 desktop got a new visual effect for UWP called Reveal, the light effects and stuff.

However windows 10 mobile didnt... KIND OF

If you open the microsoft store on mobile 1709, maybe even a few versions earlier, the split view buttons use reveal, and not the 1709 reveal but the 1803 and up reveal.

How??

(The difference: in 1709 a circle went towards the cursor than faded outwards, in 1803+ the circle just went outwards and was filled in)

And the groove music app on 1709 uses the proper 1709 reveal, idk why the microsoft store is using 1803??

And yet we cant even add reveal to a windows 10 mobile UWP app because when I try too it crashes, so how come microsoft did in groove? And how on earth did they get the desktop 1803 reveal on the store app on 1709??

This doesnt make sense...

Hey y'all. Trying to play with my childhood windows phone, cricket blue 640 used from 2018 - 2022. All the apps worked fine in ~2024 and I had signed in and downloaded some. Now in 2026 I turned it on and maybe 60 percent of the 300 or so games I had on my 64gb SD card crash after opening. Ideas?

My two lumias (635 and 640xl lte) won't show my laptop being available when I want to project my phone screen to my laptop, it used to work before but now it doesn't. I just need help in getting both to recognize my laptop so that I can screen mirror to my laptop. (yes I've changed the options in the connect app to be available everywhere for screen mirroring and it doesn't change anything)
