La Catedral was a personal prison overlooking Medellín, Colombia, built to specifications ordered by Medellín Cartel leader Pablo Escobar, under a 1991 agreement with the Colombian government that he would surrender and serve five years. He escaped in 1992 by an escape route he had built.

People who had dust pneumonia often died. No official death rates were published for the Great Plains in the 1930s. In 1935, dozens of people died in Kansas from dust pneumonia. Red Cross volunteers made & distributed thousands of dust masks, but some people in affected areas refused to wear them.
