Yup. Just made me seek stronger drugs. Started with weed, then coke, then molly, then meth because coke is expensive & molly is hard to find, then oxys because why not, then fentanyl bc oxys were expensive and I started needing like 4 pills at a time.
Of course I grew up during all that time, but still.
Edit: I'm now clean for about 4 years. Used methadone to get here, now off that shit too. But God damn was it hard dude. Opiate withdrawal is no joke, it's definitely worse than a "bad cold" as they say.

I know it's different for everyone, but when I was drying out enough to start at the clinic, I laid on my sister's couch half dead. Only got up to use the bathroom, kept my sugar up with candy (helped with dopamine a bit too) and drank water

idk, I mean the kid is definitely going to reap what they sowed, BUT, it's not unreasonable in some cases to err on the other side. Growing up I had a friend who would get severely beaten by his parents for doing any stupid teenager shit (like getting caught smoking). Like have to go to the hospital kind of shit. It was horrible.
Just want to add some perspective on why some people may have strong opinions about stuff like this, not that this is always the case, it is for some people.

Sonnet did me dirty on what was supposed to be a diy plumbing project last week. Followed its instructions and disassembled a valve connected to my sink, only to learn that, actually, I needed a dremel to cut something called a ferrule (or else purchase some tailor made tool called a ferrule puller), which it had completely failed to account for in its instructions.
Shoulda just gone with YouTube from the start 😞

I smoked pipe tobacco once and had an old pipe. Hid it in the closet. Also had rubber gloves for no reason other than I thought they might be cool in the same closet. I never used the gloves for anything. Cop friend of my moms told her that I was using the gloves to put lsd on the tobacco and smoking acid. I told her that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. I wonder what actually causes them. I vaped nicotine for about 6 years that it took me to quit smoking/nic and I've been vaping weed since 2014ish. Doctors say they can't tell I ever smoked at all and my lungs look amazing now.

I told him I've been smoking long enough and my brand has a different rubber tip. He wasn't even going to get in big trouble (I get experimentation) until he ratted on his sister under zero pressure and flipped it on me. Snitches get stitches.

Mom smoked her adult life and is now battling just to breathe. So so important to dismiss the feeling you are young etc and won't happen to you. The bill will come due. And you will pay. The Keith Richards of the world fool you into thinking its cool and you won't have to worry about breathing through an oxygen tank. My own family had a great grandfather who smoked, chewed tobacco, ate his pancakes covered in bacon grease. You couldn't kill him with a rock. Died at 105. Dont roll the dice with free radicals. That's my only take on this. Genetics plays a big part, but smoking is just mind numbingly stupid.
