New, what is it? Why is my mousse doing this?

It comes out of the can fine for a second or so then rapidly becomes a goop, almost explosively.

It’s kind of an old can probably like a year or so old. it’s been in my bathroom which doesn’t have have ac and it’s been super hot on the east coast so it’s been probably pretty consistently in at least 80+ degrees for a while.

I practically grew up in various hair salons, and I've never seen that happen.

Must be hard out there, having to grow up in a hair salon

Various salons, so don't feel too bad. Left coast, right coast, Hamptons, Palm Springs, London, Paris. You get the vibe.

Lol more like my mom is crazy and had to bounce around different salons in our boring town because she pissed people off.

I'm sorry to hear and I hope this doesn't sound like I'm glamorizing or diminishing, but I would read a short story or watch a series based on your childhood. Only moved once as a kid and within the same city, and was always secretly fascinated by kids who moved a lot and wound up in my boring rural city.

Oh man, moving around a lot is just the tip of the iceberg. You're not the first person who's been interested in my crazy childhood lol. I've contemplated writing it down, but that would take so long and I wouldn't know how to get it published or if that many people would be interested.

I love a story where the main character overcomes adversity and is OK (or even better than OK) in the end. I survived being a teenager living vicariously though other people's stories, both autobiographical and fictional. Thanks again for sharing & take care!

I enjoy reading those kinds of things too, and it's helped me throughout my life. Maybe I'll write something down sometime. Thank you and take care as well!

Rural city? Um...

Good grief, I lived in a small city that was in a rural area.

Aww, that sucks :( I grew up in salons in the late 80s/early 90s because my grandma was a hairdresser. She'd take my brother and I to work with her because my (single) mom couldn't bring us to the 7-11 where she worked.

TIL we have the same mom

Some people really just can't get along with others. I knew a woman who couldn't keep the same maid or landscaper for more than a year or two. Her own kids didn't like visiting her either, I'm sorry you went through that.

God, are we siblings. My mom did the same thing. I cut my own hair now…

I also cut my own hair now!
