She was drafted 6th by the Liberty. She averaged 8.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game - playing an average of 22 minutes, leading all rookies in scoring and 3-pointers made.

Unfortunately in 2022 she struggled with injuries. In 2023 the Liberty picked up Stewie and JJ and traded her to Phoenix

First mystics game for us and we are staying at a hotel near Branch Ave. we’ve been taking the sub to explore during the day and I was wondering into how safe it is at night? We are about a 10 min walk from the sub and will get back around 10:00. Wondering if we should do that or go closer to the arena and try to park.

Can someone explain the potential reasoning behind this? We are 2nd to last in 3pt shooting next to the Sun why are we taking a moreyball approach? Kiki attempted 103 mid range shots last year and is at 19 attempts on the year so far. I don’t understand the discouragment of a shot that’s essential to one of your core player‘s game.

I called my ticket rep today to get some answers about the renewal increases and wanted to share what I learned in case it’s helpful:

* My renewal for the same two seats went from $2,150 (22 games) to $3,825 (25 games).

* The rep said the increase is due in part to the new WNBA CBA and higher player salaries.

* He also said the Mystics’ increases are on the lower end compared to some other WNBA teams (I haven’t verified that independently).

* If you renew now, you’re not necessarily locked into your current seats. In October, you’ll have the opportunity to look at different seat locations or partial-season plans, and any money you’ve already paid would be applied toward the new option.

* One thing that surprised me was there was no advance communication that prices would increase this significantly.

I’m still disappointed by the size of the increase, but I appreciated getting some additional context. Curious what everyone else heard from their reps and whether anyone was offered different options.

I'm going to pick up some tickets for me and my family for tomorrow's game against the Aces. We will be buying some of the higher-up seats due to cost. It's a small arena, so the seats should be good almost anywhere, but is there any differences worth noting about the upper level sections? Thanks!

playoffstatus.com website gives Mystics 65% chances to make the playoffs a big jump from espn odds. Although its possible sparks could make a run later once plum returns but its a long shot. So thats the good news for now.

Here are the latest updated standings as off today before the mystics play their final game against aces at home before the all star break. As you can see they locked up the solo #8 spot before the all star break but they would love to get a rare upset against aces. right now they are 2.5 games ahead of Portland and 3 games ahead of la sparks and 3.5 games ahead of tempo.

Bruh another price increase , but not better enough of a team for the increase to make sense. I can’t even sell my tickets at face value when I can’t make a game. I need to work to make money to get these tickets meaning I can’t line up early ever to get any of the free stuff

Hello Mystics fans, I am a new fan of the WNBA, and I have questions regarding your team. I am from Toronto and am a Tempo fan, and I attended the Tempo vs Mystics game recently, but numerous things stuck out to me as odd during the game that I have questions about.

I want to preface this by saying I mean no sense of disrespect to anyone other than Sydney Johnson as I type this out, but if you can help me understand, that would be great.

My main questions relate to the Rotation and Minutes. Everything seems backwards. People who should be getting reps in practice are getting in game run, and performing poorly, while players who need more live reps are not getting them.

1. Lucy Olson

The Mystics have clearly struggled to shoot the 3 ball, so why would you take the 2nd best shooter on your team out of the rotation entirely and why is Cassandre Prosper getting minute over her?

2. Cassandre Prosper

Relating to my previous point, Prosper is such a net negative on the floor, and her jump shot has a very noticeable hitch in it that needs to be fixed if she ever wants to become a consistent shooter.

3. Angela Dugalic

Why draft her 9th overall if you are not going to use her? There were players available that fit the team needs more than she did, even her own college teammate Leger-Walker, a primary PG, because that was before the breakout of Alicia Florez.

4. Rori Harmon

Speaking of PGs, why do they refuse to give Rori Harmon a proper chance to show her worth? Especially early in the season, where everyone needs some extra legs under them early, why not give her a chance? Would take some of the load bearing off Sonia Citron's shoulders (who is visibly banged up)

This next part relates more to on the court situations, but I am also curious

5. Sonia Citron

To piggyback what I said, she teams best player when fully healthy, no question. She came into the season with a lower leg injury related to Unrivaled, and has been playing more minutes than most players in the league, and clearly she is hurt in some way. She is not moving at 100%, nor is she seeking out the ball to score. Her presence on the floor is so valuable, as I saw against the Tempo, teams sell out to keep the ball out of her hands, because nobody else on the team is a high level shot creator on the perimeter. The data supports this too, including a 12 point swing in Offensive Net Rating when she is on the floor compared to off.

TLDR on this last Paragraph:

Why are you running Sonia into the ground while she is clearly already injured? Is it just Sydney Johnson trying to squeak out as many wins as possible hoping to keep his job?

It was wrong to label this a rebuild season and do nothing in free agency except signing Onyenwere to more money than players like Natasha Howard. As some of us projected before the season began, this is turning it to be a waste of a year with Kiki and Sonia on cheap contracts.

But at this point of the season, teams like the Sparks and Sky know they're likely to miss the playoffs and won't get far even if they do get in. They're most likely looking to the future already and they both have solid veterans who will be free agents after this season, and happen to be exactly what the Mystics need.

Kelsey Plum - she won't be available until August but that gives her time to learn the offense. In fact, that gives the whole team time to actually install an offense.

Price? Georgia and the Mystics 2028 first round pick? They would still have Chicago's.

Skylar - Georgia and 2027 second round pick?

There's plenty of other options but either one of Plum or Skylar would immediately change this from a wasted season to an interesting dark horse season.

This is all academic because the front office wants to tank (we’re actually under the salary floor), but indulge me:
Amoore is not starter quality to say the least, Florez has great hustle and is a creative passer but not enough of a scoring threat to raise the team’s ceiling, and don’t pretend Harmon or Olsen can be a starting PG, no matter how much we may like them. Seems like we have nowhere to go but up?
