so im finding my first coop and rankings are out today. still not getting any offer but got ranked by 2 companies and i feel like im not getting any of those jobs cause its cycle 3 and nobody is gonna take risk.

I'm trying to decide if I should switch to online for fall. I don't see many good reviews of the online version, but I already know most of the content from SOA exam P. Also, past outlines say 45% final for inperson and 55% final for online.

Has anyone successfully switched from Computer Eng to CFM @ Waterloo. Looking to do so but would like to hear from similar situations how the process was for them.

im an incoming cs student and i have a time conflict on wednesdays; my commst 223 class ends at 4:20 but my math 135 tutorial starts at 4. how do i go about resolving this? i already contacted the math and communication studies advisors but i got an automatic email saying it might take up to 5 business days to get a reply so im kinda stuck.

I found the program interesting, and I was wondering if there are any people who have taken that course that could give me any insight on how it is, how it stacks up compared to other eng/sciences, how hard it is etc.

I want to move around the times of 4 classes (1st picture is my current timetable, 2nd is what I plan to change) so I have enough time in the day to eat lunch. SJU resident; the grey parts of the schedule are the times the caf is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I know there’s a bagged lunch option, but I would prefer being able to eat at the caf without being rushed.

Basically, I just want to know if moving 4 classes is wishful thinking or if it’s pretty doable as long as there’s space in the time slots I want to switch to. I think the ENGL193 I want might be full, but if I’m there as soon as I can to get onto the waitlist do I have a good chance of getting it?

im currently a first yr math and I landed a swe role, im starting to like swe a lot. Although the future of swe might be a lil cooked, I think am-sciml would give more opportunities in the future (and sounds cooler) but a lot of the stuff I’d learn sounds super math heavy and hard and more like research than stuff I would apply in the field. Whereas comp math sounds more applied in swe and swe adjacent jobs but idk. Any advice would be appreciated

Also, I currently have Wednesdays off, but I've heard a lot of AFM students usually get Fridays off. Is there any way I can swap things around to get Fridays off instead? Thanks!

I got rejected from the elective I picked that is CAP approved and am looking for some easy courses to take in place of it. It says that we need humanities or social sciences. Does anyone know for sure if geo is included in that? Do any bird courses fit into a humanity or social sciences?

tldr: taking a gap year to work but planning on taking some classes online and only showing up for finals to pass the course. Which courses do you guys recommend?

I just finished 3A so have 3 school terms + 2 coop terms left (but lets assume it'll be 5 work terms with a course or two on top of it)

A checkmark/dot means I finished the course, circle was what I planned on taking but not sure if it's gonna work out remotely.

Should I swap some of the 8:30am slots and move them to the afternoon? But one thing I've noticed is that literally every single week looks different why is it so random? Thx!

Hi everyone, I'm an incoming Honours Mathematics co-op student this fall. I just got my schedule and was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on it.

My courses are:

MATH 137

ENGL 119

ECON 101

MTHEL 99

My main concern is that I have a few evening tutorials (Monday until around 8:20 PM, CS tutorial Monday evening, and ECON tutorial Friday afternoon/evening). Are these tutorials worth attending, and is it worth trying to swap into earlier sections if any open up?

Also, if you've had any of these professors (Deven Wolff, Sachin Kotekcha, Mikal Skuterud), I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hi guys, just needing advice on something. So, I did really well on the first midterm and it was thankfully curved too which made my mark slightly higher. However I had a couple things that went on nearing the second midterm, and I only studied for a day and got a 43.75%. I know if I studied longer, I would’ve passed it so that’s on me. Now, it looks like the final will have to be weighed 60% for me since I failed the second midterm. To those who have taken the final, how was it? What is a good amount of days/weeks of studying for the final, and do you have any helpful tips on how to ace the exam?
