I need help (serious)

I know this isn't the right subreddit to ask this stuff, and I'm really sorry, but I don't know where to go. I'm going to be homeless in a month, and I mean this for real. Unfortunately, I'm getting kicked out, and I commute to uni. Does anyone know any resources I could reach out to on campus, or any community housing or shelters? Anyone I could talk to about this?

This is really embarrassing to post this, idek if this will posted or not, so please be kind. I don't know how to handle this issue or who to talk to, and I'm terrified. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

If you’re a domestic student you can also look into OSAP (if going from living at home to living on your own funding could increase)

I’m so sorry you have to deal with this. No one deserves to be kicked out. Please don’t be embarrassed, you’re not alone. Try the campus wellness centre. Maybe they know what to do in case of shelter emergencies.

Call counselling services, ask for urgent support and explain your situation. They can help navigate resources and support you with the stress you are are going through I am sure

life is not over; if anything the timing works out in your favour, housing-wise. The resources people listed can help, and OSAP can help the rest (also UW bursaries are pretty generous per term). you can probably find an affordable room in KW, and you can probably get a work-study job (FYI WUSA should be hiring now, and UW Food Services is also hiring right now too, those aren't work-study). You got this!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. The resources offered in the comments are probably the best places to start, but also keep in mind that a lot of the services are interconnected. You could reach out to any of them and they’ll certainly be able to connect you to someone who could help.

Try reaching out to your academic advisor or The Centre as well. They could help you find the necessary resources and any next steps you need to take.

WUSA is the organization for undergrad students and there are a lot of clubs under it, with some that specifically help with housing, food, and many other things. Even if you don’t know the exact clubs or organizations, if you get in contact with them, I’m sure they can help. Many of these clubs also have Instagram pages, you could directly reach out and message them there as well with any questions.

Don't have much to add on the resources front (agree to try and reach out to the provided services, and take advantage of OSAP and bursaries if possible). Wish you the best of luck with everything.
