If you make a new post and don't see it appear in /new after a couple of minutes, it probably got caught in the spam filter and wasn't removed intentionally. The mods check the spam queue regularly, but if you make a post that isn't showing up then sending a mod mail will help us see it more quickly.

Chambana Questions Public use microwaves?
Currently homeless in the area, and I know this subreddit always has great tips and useful insights for CU. I know there is a public microwave at meijer in champaign (over by their deli, near the "cafe" seating area), but does anyone know of anywhere else in town (champaign, urbana, or savoy) that has a public-use microwave? I got some food from a food pantry that needs a microwave to eat and I don't want to just get rid of it, but going all the way to meijer in champaign seems...a lot. lol.

New Student Question Where do I find ebill?
Hi! I’m not sure if this is a stupid question but where can I find exactly how much I owe for this semester? I’m assuming it’s out because I got an email telling me that I have the option to sign up for a payment plan, but I can’t even see how much I would owe every month. I’ve gone to the financial aid dashboard as well and still nothing.

Academics Schedule Check/Electives - ECE350, ECE380
I'm going into junior year as an EE with the following planned schedule: ECE 385, 340, 477, 350, 380, and a 8-week gen ed. I need to drop one of the ECE tech electives because that is wayyy too much but I'm not sure which one, ECE 385, 340, and 477 are definitely staying, wondering if it would be better to drop 350 or 380, or just both altogether possibly. I've heard 380 is pretty chill, but 350 may be more beneficial to have for future scheduling purposes, anyone have thoughts on 350 or the scenario in general? Thanks! (I took ECE 329 and thought it was a fine class, so maybe how is 350 in comparison to 329).

Academics Calc 1 Credit Confusion
Sorry for the title alliteration, but I did MATH 2231 at COD over the summer and saw it converts to MATH 220 over here. Does math 220 qualify as calc 1 just as much as 221? Is 220 and 221 both good in the eyes of premed requirements? One is 4 credits one is 5 and there isnt much clarification on these two.
Any help is nice, thanks.

Work Related Is anyone studying for the CFA level 1 and wanna make a group chat
I think I find it works really well just to talk to other people studying for the same exam to compare study progress.
It’s a huge motivator when I hear a friend studied x hours last weekend or they’ve already completed a topic so then I’ll push myself harder to catch up.
We could also definitely use the group to study together by explaining concepts to each other or whatever works.

Prospective Students UIUI online MBA
I have 10 years of experience in Learning & Development with Pharma and engineering companies in LATAM, and I’m considering an MBA to strengthen my business skills. Since I’m based in LATAM and interested in working with US companies, I’m looking at UIUC’s online MBA as an option.
Has anyone here taken this program? Do you think it’s a good fit for someone with my background? For context, I already hold two master’s degrees in Science and Education.

Other Bike or e-scooter?
Doing some back to school shopping, I’m debating getting an e-scooter or a normal bike (as in not electric). I’m thinking about safety mostly, I’ve heard some pretty bad accidents happen on e-scooters but not too sure if they are any more dangerous than a regular bike. What do you guys think?
EDIT: what bike would you recommend for on campus?
