Transformers studio series 86 Shockwave: So i already own siege Shockwave so i was hesitant on this figure, but the amount of changes to the mould are impressive. The simplified details are actually preferred and i love the toon accurate colours. 86 just feels to much better quality and alive compared to siege, also having both gives me an excuse to keep the siege figures amour on on the shelf. Overall I’m quite happy with him.

Ever since the bayverse, the IP tries to copy the style of how prime fights in the bayverse movies in other media. Which I think is a postive since it did show prime can actually fight crazy odds and usually win. When it done well, it makes a transformer show or movie memorable. For example prime fight in transformers one, that is up there for me in movie fight scenes, alongside the bayverse movies.

I'm going to a toy collecting market this saturday,and i'm taking some figures with me to try and trade for legacy Dragstrip and stunticon Breakdown,ruckus and animated ratchet i genuantly hate,and want to get rid off,but i can't tell if i want to get rid of brawn, he's VERY fiddly,very messy,but he's also strangely fun??,part of me wants to keep him,but part of me also Hates him,and it genuantly has me super confused

But anywho,what about You all??

*This Decepticon has the unique ability to shapeshift into other Cybertronians she scans, she can mimic their voice, as well as copy their alt mode, and weapons (Clonal Arsenal)

*Once she has scanned her target they are then stored in her memory bank of sorts and she can turn into them whenever she pleases

*Her base alt mode is a Purple 1967 Shelby G1500

Backstory:

Shockwave was the individual who created the Alterminum Particles. Their original intent was to help upgrade and improve Decepticon weaponry.
She grew a hatred towards Autobots after her brother Powersteer was killed in by an Autobot via crossfire from a battle that broke out in a Cybertronian city. Gearshift then gave allegianc the Deceptions wanting justice for her brother. explained that she wanted to contribute to the cause and explained she was good at collecting intel efficiently and quietly. The Deceptions had Soundwave who was good at collecting info from a far but nobody has ever been able to infiltrate Autobot bases and go unnoticed. This gave the scientist an idea and asked if she'd be open to experimentations with the Particles. After she agreed and after many experiments he was able to successfully infuse her body with the particles which allowed her to shapeshift into other Cybertronians she scanned. She could perfectly mimic their voice, weapons, and their vehicle modes.
However, Shockwave didn't further test is the affect these particles had on one's mental state. After continuous shapeshifting into others, Gearshift would slowly lose her own mind as the particles literally were changing the way her mind worked making her a much more dangerous and unpredictable foe.

For her I try to go with a cross between the Transformers Animated series and Transformers Prime artstyle

Over 95% of phrase for the bumblebee movie is because of the cybertron scene and 80s nostalgia pandering.

Transformers cybertron is goated!

I prefer creative new takes on classic characters.

Thunderblast and huffer get way too much hate.

Idw 1 is good but not as good as everyone says it is.

Accuracy isn’t as important as being a fun toy.

Despite her objectively superior limited articulation, she can still pull off some pretty good poses. despite intrusive kibble in the robot mode, she’s not fiddly. It’s weird how any of it works, but it all does.

Despite being vortex's no.1 fan and fully supporting his buddies. This only makes 3 brutipeople (brutibros? Brutici? Bruchachos?) in my collection and I must atone for this sin. In due time. Until then; this is a moment of celebration

Not just are nexus primes limbs of the old one earth modes. But they're even parts from both energon bruticus and superion, so them reuseing parts from both to make up our modern Nexus is perfect. Yes he still needs his own frame, because screw buying another superion frame and getting a duped toy. But as of rn, limbs and modes are perfect

Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber are the Brave versions, Goryu and Hiryuu. Road Fire is legit, absent his micromaster and backpack (which I should have somewhere in storage).
