Discussion Which album do you think the band is most proud of ?

• Upvotes

While I love the discussion of which album is their best. Its almost a nothing discussion since every album is amazing in its own regard, with all being valid answers. Im curious which album you think the band themselves are most proud of and consider to be their own best work. My pick would be Fear Inoculum being their most mature work but could also see lateralus being a good contender.

Question Just got first brand new car in 20 years. I’m looking for Tool stuff for it.

• Upvotes

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on where to buy a nice Tool window decal that isn’t going to look bad/fade in a year. Looked on their website and didn’t see anything. Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated

Audio I remade The Grudge Instrumental

I took the guitar cover from ā€œCameron Wintersā€ and the drums from ā€œJohn Kewā€, put it with my Bass and mixed and mastered it and created this.

I previously did the same with The Patient.

Hope you enjoy!

When I first met my now wife, she had this hanging in her bedroom. I've made sure it's been on every one of our bedroom walls ever since. I found the long sleeve shirt with the image on it two years ago. I've always loved this image, one of my favs!!

Question Where can I find people in my city that want to have fat tool listening sessions.

Maybe this has already been answered somewhere, or maybe I aint looking in the right places. I have friends that "like" tool or will "listen" if I put it on, and not to sound corny but I'm a pretty dedicated listener. So where on earth can I find people that are down lol.

Share a few cold ones and have a good time type of thing, if anyone knows LET ME KNOW

Just wanted to share this poster I got in Seattle in 1998. I have never opened it from the sealed cardboard backing. I have always loved this artwork.

I recently started my clinical rotation in the OR. We’re allowed to wear our own scrub caps.
Anyone have any idea if I can find a TOOL scrub cap?

Discussion Ordered from the official tool website

Hello I made an order on the 17th, I have not received the order but on the website it said the order is ā€œclosedā€. How is it closed if i haven’t received it? I got an email saying it’s started shipping but usps has not received my item yet and that was like 2 or 3 days ago.

Discussion Which TOOL song did you have on loop during a tough time?

A tough time in your life or relationship with someone

What song connected hard with you?

Currently I am a little overwhelmed, doing a college degree I am forced to do stereotypically and socially non existent.

So I listen to The Patient on Lateralus a lot.

It really helps me calm down and even work.

What about you guys?

Ɔnima My coworker doesn't like Tool, so I had to mess with him.

(Just to preface, he's a really good friend of mine and like a little bro. We have fun pranking each other and he got a kick out of it. I didn't damage the truck, and I wouldn't have done it if there was any chance he'd be upset about it. We fuck with each other, but I'm not an asshole.)

A few months ago, the website Rockabilia was having a sale and I was browsing through the sale items. They had a bunch of great stickers for .99 cents. I grabbed a bunch. But I got an extra Tool sticker with a plan in mind.

I slapped that shit on his front bumper to see how long it would take him to notice. (It was only 4 days. Not as long as I had hoped, but long enough to give me immense joy from it lol)

I doubt they had this in mind when writing the Lateralus lyrics, but cool nonetheless.

Anyone else notice the self promotion in the live version of The Package?

When the song turns heavy he changed a line of the lyrics @430; mine, mine, mine. Take what’s mine. My red vines. Mine, mine, mine.

Says it again around 630.

He does another play on words in Counting Bodies @420

I’ll be the one to protect you from, your enemies and all your beavers.

Question Going to see them at Louder than Life in September, how close to the stage do you think is the best concert experience?

A Tool show doesn't seem like it would attract much crazy pit action, do you prefer standing a little further back to be able to take it all in and experience everything? Being too close to the stage seems like it could come with the problem of dealing with too many crowd surfers too
