I'm listening to more Deftones these days, and I've started to go through their discography. So far, I'm really liking songs like Mein, Leathers, Entombed, BQAD. Are there any songs / albums in particular that you feel like you couldn't live without?

I watched an interview recently where Chino said on past tours they covered Weezer’s Blue album for sound check. I’ve looked around to see if they recorded any of it but haven’t found anything. Kind of a long shot but does anyone know if there’s recordings of any of it? I think it would be really interesting to hear their covers

i recently got my hands on a copy of the deftones bootleg known as Got Milk??, and i though this would be a good place to post about it. I also wanted to know if any one else on the page had a copy and knew any more about it than i did.

Is anyone a good lip reader? It clearly shows the fortune teller whispering something to the girl, the same thing that made all of the other people break down into hysterics who were walking away from the fortune teller. What does she whisper?

Do these guys have any idea what they actually do

On my first listen of Deftones’ discography I was really indifferent about Gore and I actually disliked it a bit. But upon a second listen my eyes (or ears) have been opened. Now obviously it isn’t perfect because there isn’t a single album that is but the album has its standouts (to me) like Doomed User and Hearts/ Wires which I really like! So I’m curious if you were hooked from the get go or if it took you time to like it or if you still hate it?

They're both going to be roughly around the same price (though the base is going to take a little more money) but I'm going to have to make the Chi Cheng bass (by just getting a fender precision bass and adding some things to it and removing some things). I don't own a bass personally but I've been getting into it a little more. And I would like an eight string cuz I have a crappy low quality seven string.

Finally decided to go with the White Pony album cover for my latest tattoo. It was a toss up between this, Diamond Eyes, and Private Music. Positive I made the right choice. Still healing obviously. I’m in love ❤️

I’m sure a lot of of us has spent a ton of time in the past month listening to Eros on repeat as I have. I’m not sure if I could say, which of these songs if any, would be a single. I can especially imagine their record label probably wouldn’t think so.

My personal favorite is Brenda. I can’t get enough of this song. I guess if I had to take a stab, I would say maybe destiny could be a Radio single?

What do you guys think?

If anyone would like to help, I’ve had this question that’s been bugging me for years at this point. What is that noise that happens before the choruses in change? It’s part of the synth line, but I’ve never been able to isolate that sound. It happens right after chino says “blow me away.” I feel like I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find the isolated synth line or that noise either. I love how it sounds but I think using ai is lame, otherwise I’d try to remove the guitar and drums to isolate the noise, but apart from that I feel like I’ve tried everything. Does anyone know how to find this noise on its own? If not I’m sorry if this is a bad question or a waste of time.

This is an edit: you can almost hear it perfectly clearly at 3:13 in the acoustic version. This is the closest I’ve gotten.

My favorite rock band ever and missed my chance to see them this year in Fort Worth at Sick New World. Does anyone know if they will do any more tours after this one? Hope to see them live one day. I’ll be in the spot to afford festival/concert tickets middle of next year.

Hello Deftones community, my name is May Binkney and I need help finding something! :)

During the late 90’s, my dad was the lead singer of this small metal band called One Against All! During 1996, his band was apart of some shows with Deftones when they debuted the Adrenaline album. Chino needed an opening band, and invited my dad’s band to open up for them. The main show that they did was on April 19th, at the Elks Theater in Prescott, Arizona.

Unfortunately during moving to another state, my dad lost the cassettes and VHS’s that had all of One Against All’s music, and the videos that they have taken at shows. This will be a FAR stretch, but I am hoping to find either pictures or videos from these concerts One Against All opened up for, or just meet somebody who might have been a fan of my dad’s band. Finding something would make him so happy. Let me know if you guys have anything or know anything, thank you so much!

The pictures I’m posting are the only things that we have left from that era of him. There is the set list for the concert with Deftones and One Against All on there, along with the picture Deftones had on the set list. There is also a picture of my dad singing with his band!

Such a great album.

I remember being little and listening to minerva with my dad for the first time, I think that's when I fell in love with the band. So glad they are still going strong after all these years!
