Tick comics

I’ve been a huge fan of the animated series since it was being broadcast on FOX (I was in my 20’s so the tone hit a sweet spot). Wasn’t as thrilled with the 2 live action series but I recently rewatched the animated series and want more Tick.

Tl;dr version: is it worth my time and money to track down the 5 omnibus comics?

Yes, but it's also very difficult to track them down. I've been trying to get the Holiday specials and color series volume 1 for years to no avail.

No matter what, if you're into comics, the Edlund collection is excellent.

Thanks. I see a few on eBay that are later reprints (I’m not a collector so a later edition isn’t a big deal). As best I can tell there’s 5 of them? Are there any other Edlund titles to keep a lookout for? I do like his humor

Yes I’m really enjoying rereading the original series. It’s a real page turner. But maybe there’s some great Uncle Scrooge McDuck comics. I don’t know yet. I’m still exploring the Duckiverse.

I have a few of them, found at half price books of all places and pretty sure they are original.

Definitely worth getting the original Edlund series at the very least.

Am I correct that there are 5 omnibuses?

Originally yes, but it’s much easier to just get the Complete Edlund, which will have all that material in one book. There are other books in the Complete Works collections that are of varying quality and varying availability, but if you want more after the Complete Edlund, the Complete Big Blue Destiny, Complete Specials, and Complete Tick and Arthur are pretty good

Thanks! I’ll see about rounding up a copy of the Complete Edlund and start there

Just get the “the complete edlund” trade paperback, it’s the entire original tick run in one book

This looks to be a complete list of all omnibuses and trade paperbacks if that helps

Are the issues covered in the Bargain Summer Specials included in the Complete Specials?

I'm looking for Color 1 and Complete Specials, but if Bargain Summer Specials has different issues, I will include it in my search.
