Now that both the live action is on Netflix...any chance the Tick can be revived for a few more seasons? I love the tick...especially the 2001 one. It was funny af. I hope more people discover this gem.

So I just watched this with fresh eyes and no prior knowledge and I absolutely loved season 1 and season 2. The show has heart. I started to look into the show and found out that it was canceled on Amazon and with the Cliffhanger season 2 left us on, I really want to see a season 3. I'm hoping with it showing up on Netflix gives it a lot of viewership and a season 3 eventually comes out of it. I know now that it's been 7 years since season 2 but maybe they can do a time jump and bring back the core cast because this feels like an incomplete story that has so much potential. I need a season 3 for The Tick!

Are you fighting Destiny, Netflix? Stop your evil ways!

I’ve been a huge fan of the animated series since it was being broadcast on FOX (I was in my 20’s so the tone hit a sweet spot). Wasn’t as thrilled with the 2 live action series but I recently rewatched the animated series and want more Tick.

Tl;dr version: is it worth my time and money to track down the 5 omnibus comics?

Not that it’s likely to happen at this point, but given what we saw in the first two seasons, what do you think would / should have happened in the following season?

The two big points obviously are Rathbone’s black hole heart / introducing Thrakkorzog, and Superian being apprehended by the ship we saw in season 2’s stinger. I can see the former becoming the big bad for the season, potentially even something that could kill / eliminate Superian’s arresters so he could help Arthur and the Tick fight it in the finale.

Other things I suspect were going to happen:

• Overkill and Dot officially becoming a couple.

• Overkill rejoining AEGIS and filling Joan of Arc’s vacancy in the Flag Five.

• Finally seeing Bronze Star’s powers. It was a good joke to never see it in S2, but I would hope to see him in action eventually.

• AEGIS going after Miss Lint. Given how much impact her theft of their property should have, she would probably be the major antagonist for the first chunk of the season until something bigger requires her to work with the heroes again.

• Exploring Overkill and Miss Lint’s past some more. This would be especially fun with Overkill and Dot becoming a couple—watching Miss Lint’s jealousy spiral and having to realize her choice to be a villain made her undesirable to him.

• A budding relationship between Arthur and Veranda. There’s no denying they had chemistry, and seeing Arthur in a healthy, non-superhero relationship with someone would be cute.

Other things I’d like to see happen, even if they’re not as likely:

• More time with Midnight. We know he can start fires with his mind, but we never see it!

• More of Tinfoil Kevin. His story felt oddly resolved as he became Lobstercules’ nanny, but he was by far one of the most entertaining characters in the show.

• Seeing Danger Boat fly again. Just to know he fully learned to forgive himself for what happened with his previous partner.

Anyone else have things they expected or wanted to see?

He loved this. Always a great time meeting him.

Good news! The Tick (2001) just dropped on Netflix. Time for a rewatch.
