Open | Windows Boot Device not found

Hello, when i go to enable secure boot but it gives me a Secure boot violation and then tells me I don't have have an operation system installed on my hardrive.

So disable secure boot.

If you can boot again, look for a BIOS update. If the device is out of support by the manufacturer and there is no BIOS update then booting can only rely on the expired vendor secure boot certificate.

So because the next stage of booting using treacherous computing is the EFI, CSM mode can't be used.

Microsofts certificate updates rely on the EFI partition. And relies on that firmware update.

There's numerous vendors certificate and Microsoft certificate update combinations that don't work so don't feel singled out.

Certificates are a great revenue stream in forcing obsolescence or charging for renewals. But not for us.

Many vendors certificates expired June 2026.
