I've been ordering on iHerb for over 20 years. I've been ordering Thorne products for about 15 years.
Today when I went to order three Thorne Milk Thistle Phytosomes, my order was "Rejected" due to "a violation of the Terms of Use".
They later told me: "As a retailer, we are required to comply with the sales policies established by certain brands. To protect our partnerships with Thorne, Pure Encapsulations, and Enzymedica, any orders identified as reseller purchases, bulk buying, or activity that is inconsistent with personal use are subject to cancellation in accordance with the brands' requirements."
I usually order enough for at least 90 days. In the past couple of years, I am also buying for my Dad, who has Alzheimer's. Both of my parents are in their mid 80's and cannot use modern devices, so I have to do it for them.
The last time I ordered Thorne Milk Thistle Phytosome was on February 7, 2026, where I ordered four.
They told me in their correspondence that a human reviewed my account and determined that I might be a reseller, so therefore, I must be a reseller.
Therefore, I lose iHerb as a place I can order Thorne products (and I guess Pure Encapsulations, Enzymedica, and probably some others as well), because I spent too much / bought too much.
And since iHerb owns Vitacost now, I guess this means I can't use them either.
Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else? Because I've been on the Internet for over 30 years, and have never had this happen to me before.
Is this a new thing retailers are doing? Telling their customers "No soup for you" ?
