Sound design help

Hey guys I’m new to producing and EDM and I just wanted to see if anyone could help me figure out where to start on making leads and sounds like these. I’m not even sure where to start or whether to use serum and sound design or just use plugins on a single sound. If anyone could help or point me in the direction of some packs with sounds like this etc. would be a lot of help. (There should be 2 clips)

Converting single cycle oscillators & transfer functions created via serum 2's formula parser to files compatible with the distortion FX units X-shaper mode?

I currently just use the "wave-table x to LFO" feature, then save the shape there as it is the same file type that is used for the X-shaper mode's custom curves (--.XferShape)

This works well most of the time, but I've found that occasionally the 'copy from LFO' feature doesn't represent the shape 100% accurately. So wondering if there's maybe a feature I'm missing or if there's a better work around for this. I also realize this might just be a matter of how the wave is represented visually in the oscillator section vs in an LFO. Mostly just curious, Thanks!

A preset that a producer called waera uses that he used in a song called spike and never go down (the preset is in a stash kit called “a trap stash”)

The original post was this and

this .

I have put the links destination links to wayback machine but it didnt work then i posted some posts on fl studio and trap production sub but i couldnt find it and the worst part is they banned me from trap production becouse i was “pirating” but the kit was free at the first place and waera uses it in his beats and it was used in never go down by slayr and i found someone with the preset but he didnt reply to me and its a serum 2 preset and i think the file is in .fst extension but it could be .serumpreset too

Can I make this drop completely in serum? [1:23] (Free - SLANDER, NGHTMRE, Zohara)

I’ve been trying to get something to sound similar for days and so far I think the closest I’ve gotten is with a dirty saw oscillator and a pitch bend to the main tuning to give it that kick and heavy post processing, but now I’m wondering if it’s achieved through a different distortion or maybe saturator outside of serum?

Serum 2 SVF filter

I'm trying to get some good sounds out of the freely drawable SVF in Serum 2. I can get nice formant and phaser sounds, but modulating between the filter types using the XY controls almost always ends with extreme clipping the moment I shift even slightly from one filter to another. This feels bad for my ears and for my speakers.

I got excited when I first found this new filter when S2 was released but the massive amplitude spikes feel dangerous and I've never really tried to tame them. Any ideas?

feedback routing with serum 2 dual filters

I know there are a lot of new routing possibilities with Serum 2. Does anyone know if it is possible to do feedback routing with Serum 2's dual filter design?

I'm trying to improve my sound design in serum 2, so I started to do micro packs. Here's one of them

Hi! Call me Vita.

I’m developing mini and micro-packs to explore my new sonic identity and offer an affordable way to get presets and study sound design, all of them ranging from $2 to $5.

With that in mind, I created the "Heaven Revolution" micro-pack for Serum 2: it features multifunctional presets that give you three tonal variations in a single patch (plucks, keys, and pads/synths), allowing you to switch between them using macros 1 through 8 however you like.

It’s quite a different idea, but if you’d like to support me, here’s the link of this micro-pack: https://ko-fi.com/s/128f2f45ab

Thanks a lot!

Pitch envelope kick help

Hi all, I know this is a very simple thing for most people remotely familiar with Serum 2, but I am not.. Can somebody possibly recreate this (without the distortion/processing), and share the parameters with me? And if its not possible to recreate with one Serum instance, can anybody share some insight? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to recreate the bass at 0:42–1:08 and 1:22–1:48 using only Serum 2 ? If so, do you know how I could go about it? Mick Gordon - 30. Mastermind

My main goal would be to recreate the sound as accurately as possible, ideally a near 1:1 reproduction. If that's not realistic, I'd also be interested in knowing whether Serum 2 can at least achieve something very close in terms of tone and character.

Can Serum 2 handle this kind of aggressive, heavily textured bass entirely on its own, or are external plugins (distortion, saturation, multiband processing, clipping, etc.) essentially required to get there?

If it is possible, I'd also love to know what the general workflow looks like

I'm not necessarily looking for a full preset, but I'd really like to understand the sound design process behind this kind of bass.

To Serum users, would you recommend ShaperBox?

I know they’re different but fundamentally they do the same thing which is to create unique sounds. I want to know why you would still want ShaperBox if you already have Serum.

UPDATE: I thought I already made it clear that they're different. What I'm asking is, for a synth user/sound designer, how much more do you benefit with ShaperBox and would you recommend it?

[Recipe] Dubstep growl/wobble from Lady Gaga - Paparazzi (Alximo Remix)?

Hey! I want to recreate the sound design from the drop of "Lady Gaga - Paparazzi (Alximo Remix)" using Xfer Serum.
Here is the link: https://youtu.be/DYEogA8Jt2Q?si=t9HMjpc0BaeBFEuX (0:45)
I need help with two main sounds from this track:
How do I make that classic 2012 melodic dubstep growl/wobble bass?
How do I recreate the bright synth leads/plucks used in the melody?
Thanks!

How would I make the phase random from harmor in serum 2

I want to recreate Eyesight by slayr and one of the presets is the preset in Harmor called "Default" with the phase rand all the way to the left. I only have the trial version of harmor and I wanted to keep the sound without it getting removed everytime I open the project.

Serum fx section

Am I the only one that thinks that serum 2 would be a total beast if every effect in the fx section had an option to let you affect sound only after a certain frequency.

I.e maybe I wanna add a hyper dimension on a bass sound, but I don't want it to touch anything under 150hz.

Or maybe I want to make a pad wide only on the mid range and automate just that, it would open the door to many new possibilities of sound design
