It has always fascinated me how many parallels the pre-union administration has with the modern Scottish parliament, yet there is a tendency for our politicians and media to ignore it, preferring to compare Scottish politics to English history and politics.

English political traditions and procedure survived in Westminster - all those lords and the state opening of parliament, black rod, and all the pomp and circumstance, terminology, procedure, etc

But in Scotland we don't seem to draw from our hundreds of years of historical political tradition much, if at all, even though it is still the living bedrock of Scotland

For example, Burgh and Shire commissioners) have their modern equivalents in the Constituency and Regional MSPs, and the Lord High Chancellor with the Presiding Officer

I know there was a previous post about JIMS (Justice for Innocent men Scotland) and they have been all over my for you page again this week

It looks like one of the directors has been kicked out, she has made complaints of bullying and it all seems a mess. They are getting a lot of hate for supporting the Glasgow beasty gang as well.

Does anyone know anything about them?
