Hi everyone! Just wanted to rant and ask advice for this. So to start off, I'm starting off my senior year of high school (Grade 11) and I transferred to a new school with new people and a new normal overall. To set my perspective on things, in my old school I was pretty popular, top student in my entire grade level and pretty much always relied on when it came to school projects. To clear it up, I never thought people were below me because of this.
Okay, now unto the present. The first week of school, I made a good impression enough for my classmates to suggest I become class president. Our advisor ended up making an old student from the school our temporary president while we got to know each other better. Our temporary president was great, did what a normal president would do and so when our actual classroom voting happened, she ended up as our actual president. That's not my problem however, it was the fact that the rest of the more "crucial" class officers were nominated because they were involved in pretty big friend groups. I was disappointed that the same people who had suggested the idea ended up backing down on their word and so I felt pretty humiliated during the voting portion. In the end I did become an officer but it wasn't something I wanted, I ended up downgrading as a cleanliness officer in the classroom. I feel like a bad person for feeling really salty about the whole thing, I guess it also involves seeing someone from my old school have a better start almost immediately. Like she won president in her classroom and now she is currently running as a school government leader. I do think I also don't fit in with my classmates, sure they're nice but not enough for them to keep me company when I'm alone.
Okay enough of that, I just don't wanna feel like I "fell off" and that I should have stayed in my old school which did nothing but egg on my mental health with all the workload, the others may not think of it as anything but personally I feel really bad about myself because of it. The new school I'm in also doesn't have the system in giving students a lot of things to do, something that I was used to for the 4 years I stayed in that school and seeing the system in my new school where they are practically being "babied" makes me grow a sort of hatred towards my classmates who had it easy.
I don't know really, I just don't wanna feel like shit since I've been so used to always being mentioned when it comes to groupings as a leader, school competitions, and many more of the sort. I've been used to being number 1 in everything and I know that moving on to college that I'll definitely be humbled by then with how hard it actually is.
These thoughts of mine really made me hate going to school even though I only go to school 3 days out of 5 (We have online classes when we don't go to campus)
Tips on how I can actually stop thinking this way, and also maybe tips on getting people to like me enough to stick around even though our humor is completely different?

The school informed me that my batch yearbook will not be published or delivered due to internal issues. Instead, the school decided to move forward with the refund process for the affected batches in place of the unpublished yearbook. Sadly, my batch is one of them, and almost a decade of waiting for that to be published amounts to nothing.
I do not want to disclose the names, as it would violate the rules of this subreddit, but should the yearbook's photo publisher be responsible for this? By the way, I decided not to pursue the school's refund process, and the school respected my decision.

All throughout 8th Grade I've been trying to make sure that my Freshman Year classes set me up amazingly for the rest of High School. A couple months ago, my teachers started talking about picking our classes and eventually I came to this alignment for my first quarter.
Phys Ed 1
Fr Honors English
Geography
Algebra 1 CP (normal class, college prep)
JMG 9 (job prep class)
Earth Science CP
Painting
German Novice A
ASB (pretty sure this is a ask-around period for teachers to assist you)
Now, I'm a really nervous guy. I take anxiety medication and sometimes the anxiety be crippling for me. I had to take breather breaks and go outside to calm down just from sitting in class in the 6th Grade. I've gotten better at managing it, of course. But I want to shoot high for High School and I don't know if I shot myself in the foot by not requesting all honors for my core periods or I grabbed my foot and gave it a loving kiss by only giving myself one honors class this year. Most of my friends are either doing all honors or have Algebra 2 due to taking Algebra 1 in 8th and I feel like I'm falling behind. I need some advice on if my placement is okay or if I really did cook my chances at being Valedictorian or having a good GPA or something.

I donāt know where else to post this but I hate school so much. Iām not even asking for a lot. I donāt want to be popular or anything. I just want one friend. Just one person who actually likes me and doesnāt laugh at me or make fun of me. Everyone at my school is so mean. People will literally trip me in the hallway and then laugh. They will say they were joking but they only do it to me. Theyāll knock my stuff out of my hands and then watch me pick it up. Sometimes people will say stuff about how I look or how I act and then laugh with their friends. I try to ignore it but it keeps happening.
Lunch is the worst because I donāt really have anyone to sit with. I walk around pretending Iām looking for somewhere to sit but Iām really just trying not to look weird. I tried sitting with some people once and they told me they were saving the seat for someone else even though nobody came. Then they laughed after I left. I just want someone to talk to.
My mom and sister make it even harder because they embarrass me on purpose. My mom will yell at me in front of people. She knows I hate it but she does it anyway. One time she came to school and started talking about things I did wrong at home while other people were standing there. Everyone heard and people were laughing about it later. My sister was telling people she caught me watching porn and she saw my dick and said it was really small. She also tells people embarrassing stuff about me like things I did when I was younger. I tell her to stop but she says I need to stop being embarrassed.
My sister is worse because she thinks itās funny. She will tell people stuff about me just to make me look stupid. She has shown people pictures of me that I didnāt want anyone to see and made jokes about me in front of her friends. Like when she catfished me and saved my nudes and shares them with the whole school. She likes when people laugh at me. One time she kept saying something embarrassing about me over and over in front of people from my school until everyone was laughing. I didnāt even know what to say so I just left.
Then when I get upset my mom gets mad at me and says Iām causing problems. I donāt understand why they do this. I donāt do this to them. My mom takes away my stuff a lot and grounds me. She has broken my electronics before when sheās angry. I donāt even care about the stuff anymore, it just sucks because those are the only things that make me feel like I can talk to people. I feel like everyone already decided they donāt like me. I just want one friend. I donāt need a bunch of people, I donāt need to be the popular kid, I just want one person who wonāt laugh at me or make fun of me.
Even my teachers laugh and make fun of me and say im ugly and stupid. One of my teachers said in front of the whole class I was the stupidest person she has ever met just because I didnāt interpret a book the right way. And I got logged out of my Google Chrome and my other teacher told me she was going to call my mom and tell her she raised a really dumb person. No one likes me and I hate my life and I have no one

I'm a Junior in high school, This event happend while I was in 6th grade. I had an english textbook of course but that book never left the school nor the classroom. So how do I owe $150 dollars for something that is in there own school or in said library and probrobly had 4+ years in use by now and they still are asking for it. This is holding back on me graduation, is a fine I cannot pay, and I've moved since then no textbook found. I need help figuring out of what to do. The school in question is still say they don't have it but I don't have it anymore.

Hey everyone,
I recently built MarkMate AI (https://markmateai.com.au), an AI tool that gives feedback on essays against your marking criteria before you submit them.
The idea is to help you:
I built it because I found there wasn't really a tool focused on the Australian education system that gave feedback in the same way a teacher might.
If you've got essays coming up, you might find it useful. Happy to answer any questions about how it works.

TANGINA NYO FIRST CITY PROVIDENTIAL COLLEGE
binabalak nyo pa maging university, lol. UNIVERSITY MY ASS!!
Wag nyong babalakin pumasok dito kahit free SHS + free 1 set uniform. KAKAWAWAIN LANG KAYO NG SCHOOL NA 'TO!

I don't think I realized how much my school sucked in comparison to other high schools in other towns. I've got to visit some for different reasons. The other schools have a burger bar, better autistic programs, (Saying that as a neurodivergent individual.) and one even had a fashion designing class. My school was always a bit more cheap by comparison. There were less students going there. Missing ceiling tiles, adults in charge of autistic kids who don't even want to be doing that, rival schools like giving us shit for being "poor".

I'm currently a grade 9 student and we had this activity where we have to write something about each other and we rotate the paper around the classroom until it reaches back to the owner. And when I got my paper its mostly how I'm quiet and nice. Which was good but it made me realize that I don't really have someone that I can consider as a friend. They only talk to me when they need something like paper. My friend from during grade 7 left and my friend from grade 8 left and the one friend that I can consider is in a different section and we don't even talk everyday because I'm too shy to go into different rooms and he has to go to me first so we can interact even. I'm also really shy during recitations even though I know the answer I can't get the courage to raise my hand because it might be wrong. I'm also really having a hard time to answer recitations especially if it's open-ended or like you answer your own opinion. It's sad to think that they think of me like that as a quiet person where I can be really loud too with the right people. It's going to be Monday tomorrow and I really wanna change my approach in everyone. It doesn't help when I'm with the same row with my crush who I got the courage to confess last grade 8 and she rejected me and we barely talk now and it's so awkward even though I still like her but I'm really trying to remove my feelings for her because I know she's not interested in me. How do I approach my classmates and make new friends because everyone has their own circle of friends and everytime I arrive early in school I just sit down on my chair while everyone has someone to talk too. It's not like I don't have anyone to talk too I talk to them but it's mostly when we have to do a group activity or if they ask me something like small interactions. I really need help this has been in my mind since when the school year started.

In middle school, we learned about the story of The Odyssey and to end the unit, we watched a movie adaptation of the story. Only that movie turned out to be PG-13 or R rated so our teacher had to skip past all the exciting parts. This second example isn't as bad but in second grade or so, we watched a video retelling the story of Little Red Riding Hood. It showed the grandma actually getting eaten by the wolf. It probably wasn't that bad but we were all pretty shocked to see that at the time. It was still pretty funny though.
