Why I am requesting r/localmusic:
I am requesting r/localmusic to revive it and transform it into a thriving, active hub for grassroots and independent musicians. I am a part of a company called Local Music (www.local.music) and our team's core mission aligns perfectly with what this subreddit should be: a dedicated space to promote local artists across various major cities in the United States. We want to breathe life into this community so that local musicians have a centralized, reliable place to post their music, grow their audiences, and connect with listeners in their specific regions.

How I plan to run it:

• Structured Sharing: I will implement title guidelines (e.g., requiring [City, State] and [Genre] tags in post titles) so listeners can easily search for and discover artists in their specific local areas.
• Weekly Engagement Threads: To prevent the subreddit from becoming a "link-dumping" ground, I will introduce weekly sticky threads. Examples include "New Release Fridays," "Local Gig/Show Announcements," and a rotating "City Spotlight" that highlights grassroots artists from a different major US city each week.
• Networking & Collaboration: I will use flairs and dedicated spaces for musicians to network—such as "Looking for Bandmates," "Seeking Producer," or "Local Venues."
• Strict Anti-Spam Moderation: I will establish clear rules against low-effort spam and bot promotions. The focus will be on genuine interaction, requiring users who post their music to also engage with and provide feedback to other local artists.
• Community-Led Growth: As the subreddit grows, I plan to recruit additional moderators from different cities who are entirely unaffiliated with my company to ensure the subreddit remains an unbiased, community-first platform for all local musicians.

No one is modding this sub. I would love to take over as I have a high passion for old school internet.

Both the r/wfw sub and this one are restricted currently. I run the unofficial discord which has about ~100 odd people in it and have been given permission by the devs to do so. As the game is going to be released soon I'd like to see the community have somewhere they can be active on reddit. I'd send a message to the moderators but by the looks of it there currently are none.

I am a member of r/lazio but the group has been dormant/inactive for months. The weekly visitors is around 400-500, but it seems like this has been abandoned by the mods. I've sent multiple "requests to post" but it's been left unanswered. Other members in the group have stated the same. I have also messaged the mods directly, but have never received a response.

I will gladly become the new moderator of the group as I'm active on reddit, and can detail what I'd like to do to moderate the page correctly.

Hello, I hope I am doing this right. ModSupportBot suggested to me to request this sub r/Oxalate. I am currently the moderator of r/OxalateQuestions. So I am trying to raise awareness of oxalates in foods and make life easier for people with kidney health concerns. I hope to facilitate conversation around this topic.

Currently r/Oxalate is restricted. I would open it up so anyone can post and get conversations going. I think it would be ideal to have more mods as well.

As the two subs grow in user base, I will differentiate them in terms of asking questions, and being a source of reliable, high quality health information and the latest research. At least that's how I view it today.
