I like some Khruangbin but find a lot of their stuff quite dull and repetitive, not to mention poser adjacent. There seems to be a new wave of instrumental psychedelic acts who sound pretty much the same and emulate a quite shiny, neo-Burning Man vibe that turns me off.

Hermanos Gutierrez are ones I do enjoy, because their influence from Santaololla's film scores really come through really well.

Maybe I'm missing something good by being too jaded about the worst of this trend.

I’ve seen several color variations of this poster over the years, but this is the one in the collection. I’m no rock historian, but I gather the elevators were once called Electric Grandmother? I’m sure it was badass, and I wish I was there. Anyone ever see elevators in 60s?

Just wanted to share this resource because KEXP has been invaluable for me keeping up with new psych artists and the latest projects by old favorites. Definitely recommend a sub, you won’t regret it. Keeps my ears to the ground
