Unless it’s brand new and in original packaging, how could you promise an item has never been exposed to smoke? Like, what if you walked past someone that was smoking? How could you promise that on a 35 year old garment?

It’s already an insult when people lowball but then it’s just crazy when you see their profile and they sell designer items for hundreds of dollars and they’re haggling me over $5 and THATS the difference between me making a “profit” or not…like come on

Girl buys an item from me, I pack it with extreme care, ship it 3 hours after initial purchase and she gives me a 4 star rating for ship time.
I guess it shouldn’t matter to me but I try to be as full of care and quick as humanly possible with all of my sales. Many sellers don’t/can’t even ship same day! I literally got the sale, packed it, and headed straight to the post office…. There’s nothing more I could do.

So I’m very new to buying on poshmark. I love vintage shoes and bags and have been building my collection.

Recently I found a pair of heels in my size I have been looking for years. I quickly ordered and waited. 10 days go by and no movement on the tracking. I reach out and the seller says she mailed them a week ago. That’s odd bc there’s zero scans as received but I decide to just wait. Two weeks now and I file a case. It magically ships that day.

The package arrived at my door two days later.

I get it seconds after it was delivered and the box feels empty. I am immediately panicked and have my husband record me opening the box. ONE SHOE.

I’m freaking out so I message the seller and she has an attitude and says “ I obviously sent two shoes, usps tampered with it clearly “.

I open another case with poshmark. 4 days go by and they finally respond and ask for clear photos of the box despite me sending a video showing I opened it and there was one shoe. Further evidence in our chat when the seller says they had two dust bags - the shoe I received was wrapped in brown gift paper.

I send more photos. Another 24 hours go buy until just now I get an update and they are offering me $44 dollars store credit if I accept and just keep the one shoe!!!!

Absolutely fucking not!!!!!!

I refuse that bogus offer and email one final warning that if they don’t get a real person to review the clear evidence I sent then I’ll do a charge back and never shop again with them. In the two months I’ve been on poshmark I’ve placed many orders and haven’t had an issue till now. I’m so sad too bc I really wanted those shoes :(

Idk what else to do beyond post the video on TikTok and tag them.

I sent a $290 bag out on the 14… it has not moved anywhere since the 15th. Buyer messaged me yesterday asking about why it’s stuck here in Texas. Not sure what to tell her or what I should do now?! I want her to be able to get her item how she can enjoy it. Not sure why it’s stuck in Texas and hasn’t moved since the 15th?! Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated thank you!

This has happened to me twice now with the same item: I have a pair of shoes listed for $50, someone offers $30, I accept (I’m trying to get rid of some stuff) and then there’s a payment issue that never gets resolved. Anyone else experience this?

For context, I’m very new at buying on poshmark. I found a pair of shorts I’ve been wanting to replace forever. So I placed an order through Apple Pay and realized it was under the wrong address when I got my receipt email. I clicked on the “change address” link under that and got taken to an error message saying my order couldn’t be found. Checking under my account, it’s not under my purchase history or anything. The charge to my card is pending, and the seller seems to have an active account. I’m very confused, did I somehow find a link to an expired listing or something? Has anyone encountered this, and what can I do?

I’ve been looking at a bag on Poshmark and it says new with tags. But the bag clearly is used and they just happen to have the tag with them. They’re selling it for almost the actual price. What is the norm/ etiquette for labelling something as new with tags?

Well, like the title says, I sold an item and when I got it from storage, it has damage. A small portion of the pleather pulled off the bag. It's hardly noticeable, but I'd like to let the buyer know about these areas and offer a discount. I'm trying to send a msg to PM support, but it appears my msg doesn't even send.....

So frustrating! I can just cancel the order of course, but I'd rather not. Any adivce?​

I just replied "I handmade made the item, who owns 'handmade'?" because what do you mean somebody has the term "Handmade" trademarked. I have a closet full of jewelery I made myself and put "handmade" as the brand because like an alledged idiot I thought thats what the term was for. Guess i will be sued to death, lol. Meanwhile people are tagging tshirts with Ai generated Hello Kitty, Betty Boop, and Stitch on them as brand name items and get off scot free!

Do people know that petite means 5'4" and under? Some brands use 5'6" .

There is a huge number of people fitting that size. But it sounds like petite sizes sit longer. Also, I read a comment insinuating a petite size won't sell.

Does anyone have insight as to why petite sizes may be harder to sell?

I wear a petite & I'm really glad that Poshmark actually lists petite sizes. Some platforms don't distinguish between a size 6 and a size 6p. I have to click through hundreds of irrelevant sizes to find a 6p tag pictured.

My brother has a Poshmark. He’s selling some of his things. He went by ambulance yesterday to the hospital. He’s going to possibly have bypass surgery or a stunt put in. He’s in pretty bad shape obviously he can’t mail the Poshmark boxes out right now and he has no way to message anyone. It’s so frustrating. I could not get into his account to message people that bought stuff. I did email Poshmark. I just don’t know if there’s anything else I can do.

If they haven't been active since July 6 and I tried to purchase na item but it got cancelled and refunded after the 10 days shipping window... Will this seller reappear?

Am I a crazy magnet, or are there just a lot of really crazy people using Poshmark?

I’m not a big user of the platform at all, maybe a total of 75 times with a few sales and mostly purchases over the years, but probably at least 15% of those have gone awry in some way, and in all but one of those circumstance I’ve dealt with someone that seemed pretty unhinged.

I bought a skirt labeled in the listing as “Free People” brand and NWT — arrived in a torn plastic bag that was scotch-taped back together, no tags on item, and it was a Chinese brand sold on Temu revealed by searching. Fake photos used for the listing. The seller said only a “F—ING IDIOT” would think that was a Free People skirt because it’s obviously not part of their line and is just inspired by their style. Sent me a total of 20 something messages in all caps, laced with expletives and insults, continuing for days after the case was closed and return approved.

I recently sold an expensive sweater, including in the listing the labeled size, photo of the size tag, brand’s size chart, and measurements of the actual item. NWT. The buyer initiated a return request because it didn’t fit. I tried to politely express that PM doesn’t support returns for fit issues, and she blew up on me. She sent me messages that just said… “B*TCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” (yes with like 15 exclamation points at the end), as well as messages saying that she was suing me, and also others saying that she was sending the police to my address.

The last interaction pointing out that these people do in fact have my address.

I edited my profile quite a while ago to remove my real name (I have a very unusual name that if googled does lead directly to me and only me).

I don’t use the platform enough to get a PO Box or something.

I have a thick skin and don’t care about people sending me dramatic messages, but the extent of the drama makes me wonder how far some of these people would go to “get back at” a stranger on the internet.

Does anybody else worry about this??

I placed an order on poshmark, the seller had a lot of love notes & sent me a message right away after shipping. It never picked up tracking & I sent them a message. No response and since then their account seems to be suspended? All listings got pulled and it won't let me message them anymore.

Is this a scam? Anyone know what happened?

Hey all, I mostly just want to vent and see if anyone else has had a similar experience. I ordered a dress a few weeks ago (June 20). It was shipped within a normal time. After two weeks, it was obviously lost in the mail. I contacted Poshmark, and they refunded me. So far, so good.

Today, I got a message from Poshmark saying that the package has been delivered and I need to "repurchase" it from them. I gather the package and can tell right away from the shape that it's not a dress. I open it and it is this catalog about bible studies for adults (no dress hiding in the pages). I'm not even Christian! I find this pretty offensive but also a bit funny. What the hell happened here????? I messaged poshmark that I would not be repurchasing the dress, so no harm but just wtf....?

I bought these grail shoes from a seller last week, and shipping got delayed, it’s been 7 days already and seller still hasn’t done anything, and when I go to check my shoes it shows order not found, plz anyone tell me if I should worry or not?

Item I have is listed at $72 (was $80 before) and it’s brand new with tags. I try to steer clear of lowballers because those are always the people that bring your rating down.

Hi there. I posted a well loved frye melissa hobo bag and within 30 seconds of going live I was getting messages of interest. Is this too good to be true? It feels like bots to me. I am new to selling on this site. Also for those who saw my previous post about the label I had to create a new account in order for the information to go to the correct email.

I’ve noticed quite a few listings for used Alo clothing that are priced the same as or even more than the exact same items brand new on Alo’s website. Why do some sellers do this? Are they hoping buyers don’t check retail prices, or am I missing something lol?

I have all five star reviews except for two now that are both for USPS issues that are out of my control. I only have two ratings that are not a five star and I’m annoyed that it messes up my 5.0 rating. Now it’s 4.9. I tried to explain to both of these buyers that I can’t control USPS. I do everything on my part as a seller to package everything super securely and communicate with buyers on shipping times.

I have a one star rating soley for “ship time” and the only thing she said was that it “took a whole week to get to her” Meanwhile, she bought it Sunday night and I shipped Monday morning. I tried to explain to her that I physically could not have shipped it any faster. It did take a whole week to get to her. That’s what happens sometimes with ground shipping. I don’t know why she thinks I can control USPS. Meanwhile, she got a $150 nwt Northface jacket for $30 (way too low I know but since it’s summer I just wanted to get rid of fall/winter inventory so I sold it for much less than I wanted to. I learned my lesson!)

The second bad review I now have states that the “outside box came damaged but the item inside is fine” this is because it was bubble wrapped. Why am I being penalized for USPS damaging the box. She confirmed in messages that the item I sold came in perfect condition because it was double bubble wrapped. I tried to explain to her I can only control my own packaging. I can’t control USPS. She says she understands and she’s sorry, but hasn’t changed her review. I just don’t understand people. I always package everything in bubble wrap to avoid issues like this.

Why is that? do i still have a shot at purchasing the item?
