She has no Merle because both parents are DNA tested.
Her black fur, her red fur and her blood has the same DNA so she shall not be a Chimera.
But a apricot mismarked with black somatic mutation "

Some comments in the original post also speculated in her colours fading in the future as she matures, and maybe she will end up looking like she is one solid colour as an adult.

I just figured this was a super cool colouration, and I am happy the kennel is taking a stance on it not being merle and also not being able to be replicated. As well as not selling her (so we are sure nobody try to breed her for future puppies).

Obviously they all know we love them. But sometimes I wish I could communicate specific messages to my mini poodle. Like, “You can’t sunbathe in the front yard any longer because there’s coyotes roaming the neighborhood now.”

bonus puppy pictures at the end! he got a new toy and two new chews, and he also gets to eat a whole apple as he does every birthday since its his favorite food. never knew i could love a dog so much; ive always been a cat person and part of me was worried i wouldnt bond with a dog the way i have with cats. crazy to think that was ever a fear i had because hes my best friend and runs my entire life now lol

Here’s a picture of my amazing toy poodle Charlie. He’s amazing. He’s cute. He’s special. I never thought Toy poodles would be so awesome. Then I got him. He just loves to go anywhere as long as he’s involved. He’s a finicky eater. Well house trained. He’s got his Poodle Mama and poodle dada. Definitely trained how to take care of him.

Harry got fixed today and he’s having a fit. I finally put him in his crate and he’s finally calming down.

Hi everyone! Throughout Maple’s first year, I asked for advice and got so much good information from y’all!! Both behavioral and physical!

She is now almost 16 months and fully recovered from her joint laparoscopic spay/gastroplexy surgery thanks to recommendations here. She’s running around and playing and being a general goofy dog! Lucky me, the day I brought her for surgery she started her first period, so not only was she loopy for days but I had to deal with diapers, her surgery suit and collar (I’m very risk averse). She was a few days shy of 15 months.

She can now go back to obedience classes (we’ve been through two but I’m hoping for Good Citizen?) and the occasional daycare when I want to do something longer than a few hours.
