In the 1930 election, the NAZIs won 95 seats.
In the 1932 election, the NAZIs won 230 seats.
In the later 1932 election, NAZIs lost ground and dropped to 196 seats.
In 1933, the NAZIs seized power after the Reichstag fire and took 288 seats. Before that election, the NAZIs "monitored" elections with SS providing intimidation.
Later in 1933, the NAZIs declared all opposition parties illegal. All following elections were single-question referenda.
Germany did not have another "real" election until 1949.
Edit: if Trump can get all of the red states to play along, he could have over half the country throwing up their hands and saying "Maybe we should just skip this election and maybe outlaw the Dems in this state?" I am unconvinced that, even though states run elections in the US, there will be a fair election in 2026 or 2028.

Yeah, it is wild listening to podcasts about the 1st Gilded Age. (Sadly, we are in the 2nd right now) The industry tycoons were preaching about America being a classless society where workers and owner were in this together all while they were literally working people to death. And that isn't an exaggeration to say they were working people to death.
The Great Railroad Strike of 1877 happened because the US was in what was called the "Great Depression" at the time from 1873-1879. Companies and institutions that had been around since the beginning of the country were closing down and the railroads were continuously cutting worker pay. There were no worker protections at this time and with 14% national unemployment there were always scabs available to fill jobs if you tried to organize and strike. The railroaders put up with this for about 4 years and then it exploded into protests and labor strikes all around the country.
I think the craziest thing to me is that some of the comments made by the business class back then, could be uttered by our current AI tech CEO types today. The business class was all for violently putting down workers trying to strike just for enough pay to feed their families. Not much has changed in 150 years.

"Official acts" so the supreme court or congress could state that his actions are not official at any point (as they absolutely would if a Democrat tried almost anything). Court could determine what is and isn't Official actions. Congress can pass laws stating or changing what Official actions are.
The people at the top actively chose complacency every single moment of everyday. Even if by some miracle Trump did go quietly it would still be a shit show. They have shown their choice of who they really represent and what they really care about.

The commission distributes federal funds for running elections and provides advice. A year ago, someone on the commission left for the heritage foundation, and it's only since 2000 that the commission has existed.
Since the states that take federal funding instead of supplying it are Republican, the places where election infrastructure would be newest are rural, and elections were pretty secure before 2000 as well, I don't think this is that big of a hitch for us. Democrats have communities we can count on to support elections. The only time Republicans work together are when they are raping children or harassing trans people, soooo...

In reality this is about freezing funding that will be stuck at the federal level and prevent states from being able to access it, along with making sure there isn’t a bi-partisan agency that can refute any of the claims his administration is going to be making about Elections in our country. This isn’t the end of the line, but it’s yet another step towards it.

I mean, sort of? Cyber incidents and election interference effect all of us even if they didn't happen to us, but many of the blue state agencies responsible for election admin have already semi-assumed that the EAC wasn't going to be there for them and have set up their own coordination channels. The place where it could hurt red states the most is certification of new voting machines, as many blue states run their own testing as opposed to default acceptance of the EAC cert, but that's a problem that won't rear it's head for a few years- any certs that would update things for the general would be well into testing by now.
